It feels good to be back, thank you for continuing to provide a high quality experience! You don't see many rp sites making it to the five year mark often, so shiv and spiral have really made something special. Here's to the next 95 years of Hoenn. That's right, 100 years total! 100 YEARS BABY! Fucking can't wait for everyone to get DBZ power levels on year 82. And that twist on year 8? Perfection, never saw it coming.

Dwayne jumped a little when his patient awoke. He was not expecting it, but his shock quickly changed into relief. At least he did not have to get rid of a body now. Dwayne gathered his composure quickly, responding to the stranger's questions with a calm tone.

"Hey, I'm Dwayne. I found you dying on the side of the road and decided to help. You're in the Bothwell Apothecary--still in Sootopolis. Now lay back down you're gonna mess up the gauze."

Dwayne would wait for the man to follow his directions before continuing. Now that he was awake, maybe Dwayne could get a little context for how he got into this mess. "So--who am I treating today and like--the fuck happened?"

Our kind of people. Our kind of people? Dwayne raised an eyebrow, what did he mean by that? Like as in--was this a sex thing? Dwayne hoped not, I mean he would not be opposed but it felt a little early. Maybe he should keep an open mind, after all if Jackson went through the trouble of setting this up he must have thought Dwayne and--whatever his name was could get along.

Jackson was the friend that sent Dwayne to the cafe--to meet ummm. What did he say this guy's name was?

Cillian Quinn? That sounded familiar, but it was not the name Jackson used. That did not matter though, because Dwayne was apparently sitting across from Cillian Quinn. He was like--the mayor or something, Dwayne had heard his name a lot across the month he has spent in Sootopolis so far. Wow--on a blind date with Mayor Cillian Quinn. Dwayne was really moving up in the world.

Dwayne reciprocates the extended hand, shaking it firmly. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you Mr. Quinn. I would like to be up front with you, I don't think I'm going to say no but I would prefer that we get to know each other a little first before I agree to anything."

Man this was a real kick to the gonads. Here he was, having fled to Hoenn to escape the trade, and Rocket's first initiative was to make Dwayne a dealer. Felt a bit like a spit to the face, but then again this was pretty stereotypical grunt work. Gotta cut your teeth before you can be trusted with the more unique jobs. Plus deep down he knew he loved the thrill, though he really wished he did not.

An old barn outside Verdanturf seemed as good a place as any for an exchange, and luckily Dwayne's mask provided a buffer against the smell of dilapidated farmyard. He had come a bit earlier than necessary, far too paranoid about the consequences of being late. Dwayne had time to watch the sun set from within the barn's gloom, and as nightfall approached his client would arrive.

At first there was only an Alolan Persian, and for a moment Dwayne thought that the client had sent a pokemon to complete the transaction. That's a genius idea, why did he not think of that? His ridiculous fantasy was thwarted when a man entered the threshold of the barn, greeting Dwayne by name. Dwayne groaned, scratching the back of his head to manage his irritation.

"Ugh, who keeps giving my name out? Whatever, yeah hi Frank. Got the money?"

Dwayne raised a brown parcel he had been holding, which contained the substances that Frank sought.

"Circles?" Dwayne looked down at the blonde pretty boy before him, tilting his head as he tried to decide if he should accept the man's invitation to sit down. When he was told to meet a guy at Bay Leaf Brews Dwayne thought he was being set up for a blind date or something. He thought to himself, 'Why not? It's a nice day and he had nothing better to do'. But now circles are involved. Gross.

Whatever, he still had nothing better to do. Dwayne sat down, crossing one leg over the other and placing his hands gently onto the surface of the table. His eyes sleepily leered at the affable stranger, trying to get a read on him before engaging in conversation. He failed, the attempt was like trying to form images out of static. Eventually Dwayne gave up and spoke.

"So you know my name, but I don't think I've met you before."

Dwayne's evening grocery run was supposed to be a quick detour. He just needed to restock some supplies for the Apothecary before closing up and heading home. He has yet to learn that nothing comes easily in this city. Dwayne nearly dropped his grocery bags when he came upon the body of Noel Parker, casually splayed on the side of the street. He looked around, trying to locate some sort of explanation, but he found himself alone. Dwayne cringed behind his mask, not really sure where to go from here. Was he supposed to report this sort of thing? Eh, probably not. In all likelihood, this poor fool was left out here for a reason.

There was no avoiding it, he had to walk down this road to get back to the Apothecary. He too a deep breath, steeling himself before pushing onward. He tried not to look at the body, but his morbid curiosity got the better of him. He allowed himself a passing glance--and that was when he noticed that the body was still breathing. This time Dwayne was shocked enough to send his grocery bags flying as he flinched. This guy was still alive!? How!? He looked like he was dragged through a human-sized paper shredder!

Now what was Dwayne to do? He could not just live this guy here, not when there was a chance to save him. Should he look for help? Call the hospital? No, this guy was absolutely left out here to die on purpose. Dwayne risked getting him killed for real by drawing attention to him. Dwayne groaned as he nervously wrung his hands together. He had to make a decision, either leave this man to die or save the poor bastard himself. He forced himself to turn away, planning on committing to the former. This was not his business, there was no reason to get himself involved just to satisfy his conscious.

So twenty minutes later Dwayne found himself treating the stranger's wounds on a table in the backroom of the Apothecary. He mumbled the entire time, cursing his bleeding heart for caving. He had covered most of the man's injuries in herbal balms and was working on getting all of the bleeding bits bandaged. Hopefully ana fell would not decide to come around tonight and discovery this scene, Dwayne really needed this job.
