A distraction? The Onix thought. He could have laughed. Attracting attention is what he does best. His former had trained him to be such very thing. His towering self would serve as the distraction while his teammates swoop in for an attack. "What you ask of me is easy." He agreed to the plan.

As of the other issue, he had just the idea. The Onix leaned into the Roggenrola, "Surely you musn't be the only one craving those sweet berries. Find another accomplice." he said to her.

The Onix's rocks trembled and shook as it turned and began moving closer towards the infamous Grotle, but not so close. He decided not to only seek the attention of the Grotle, but the whole nursery.

Once he was in the right position his serpent-like body move in circle disturbing the ground beneath, sand and stones picked up around him. As a miniature Sandstorm picked up around him, the Onix screeched. Demanding all attention on his majestic self. Before long the humans at the daycare came to stop him. But they are not met without force.

The novice trainer turned his head to the voice. 'The Gym Leader,' he thought. He considered himself lucky. Zata's gaze lingered a while on the Gym Leader, wanting to interrogate the man right there and then, but he knew better that it was not the appropriate time. Perhaps after they deal with the Porygons first.

"Zata." he nodded simply.

Only then that he noticed the much larger hound accompanying Josh. He did not know a pokemon such as his little Yamper could grow that big.

He agreed that this was a much larger operation than he could handle himself, but then again, he was new to matters such as this than what he would assume a much experienced gym leader. "Please, lead the way." He said humbly, awaiting for an order from the Gym Leader.

After inheriting the pokemon from his deceased brother, Zata knew he had to learn more about pokemon to get closer to learning what had happened to his brother. So he had began attempting to train the aforementioned pokemon and taking side jobs that involved pokemon. Sooner or later he hoped to find a lead, and the first place he had gone to to find such lead was Mauville City. He heard from the news that it was one of the major cities that the Ultra Beast War occurred. So he left his home in search for answers.

The first person he wanted to find was obviously the city's Gym Leader, . However, he found it hard to reach out to such an important person, mainly because he did not know the correct channels to use. 

While he was in the city a tech company recently posted a wanted poster of escaped Porygons. Having nothing else to do Zata decided to take on the mission, perhaps he could find something along the way. 

Walking through the city Zata noticed groups of people outside of buildings, he approached the group to learn what all the commotion was. He overheard the group mentioned Porygons disturbing their work computers. With that information Zata entered the building.

Once inside the building, Zata noticed the buggy screens on the computers. He brought out a Yamper he has yet to name. It barked and yelp excitedly, awaiting an order from his new trainer. "Wait.".

Zata observed the screens, looking for anomalies. When he noticed one he immediately yanked at the cables of the computer. A Porygon appeared in thin air. "Now."

The Yamper leaped and Crunched its jaws at the Porygon, bringing it down.

"You are pardoned." The Onix accepted the Roggenrola's apology. Brushing it off as a trivial accident.

The Onix intently listened to her troubles. A Grotle was indeed something to be troubled by as rock types. He understood why she was in such distress. The Onix looked over past the many pokemon that were playing and napping about, to the edge of the daycare, where he spotted the nefarious Grotle.

When the Roggenrola asked if he desired the berries, the desire for such berries grew in his bellies. "What plot do you have in mind?" he asked curiously.

CURRENT PLOTS


INVESTIGATION OF THE WAR
In the current ARC I Zata embarks on a journey to find the truth of what happened to his brother during the Ultra Beast War. His suspicions came from pure instinct and the subtle inconsistencies in his mother's story. Zata travels to the three main warfronts, Mauville City, Meteor Falls, and Lilycove to investigate. He was not sure what he would gain out of these visits but it was his best shot at finding a lead.

POKEMON MASTERY
Zata recently acquired new Pokemon after going through his brother's old belongings. He had never been interested in training Pokemon and has no idea how. As of ARC I Zata has no reasons to train his Pokemon, but after he uncovers the truth of his brother he would soon find that mastering his Pokemon is vital and a necessity. Becoming a master is out of the question.

As the Onix slowly fell to its slumber, the sound of footsteps and muttering disturbed and waked him. The rocks that formed its body shook and tremble as the Onix moved to see what had awaken him.

Not to his amusement the Onix saw a much smaller rock pokemon clearly in distress.

"What troubles you so that you had awaken me little one." The Onix boomed as he towered over, yet his tone gentle.

It was hard for him to not be intimidating, as he was trained to do such by his former trainer.

The Onix was a stubborn one. Coming out from its pokeball to an unknown face threw it into a rampage. His new trainer were confounded by his fit and decided to leave him in daycare. The Onix was not one for violence but it had deep bond with its previous owner, and he missed him deeply.

As it sulked, the serpent-like creature curled in itself, blending itself as formation of rocks. What was shadowing over others now guised itself as pile of rubbles in the background.

Zata was a recluse. He had no care for the outside world and everyone else. It was hard to ignore all the fighting, wars, and catastrophe that had befallen Hoenn, but it gave him more reason to stay out of touch. [break][break]

During his childhood, his father was absent, and his mother drinks a lot. His older brother, Raul, was the one who raised and took care of him. Raul was one of the rangers and unlike Zata, he cared a lot about others and spent his time protecting the wild. During the Ultra Beast War, Raul died.[break][break]

Zata never learned how his brother died. He did not even know the context of what was happening. Being the only person he had ever cared about, losing Raul left a gaping hole in his chest. [break][break]

One day, Zata decided to go through Raul's belongings. While investigating a few pokeballs he had found, he accidentally let out a Yamper who immediately barked and zoomed excitedly, having smelled a familiar scent. [break][break]
