Still thinking that the person was in danger, Zata threw out two pokeballs. A Ceruledge and a Mantyke came out. "Ceruledge, Bitter Blade," he commanded. "Mantyke, secure the person,". The two pokemon jumped into action immediately, the Ceruledge leaped up with blue flame covering its blade-arms. Aiming it to strike the flygon. Whereas the Mantyke flew nearby waiting for an impact to occur and would save the person if they would fall.

With the utmost care and delicacy, not letting there be any chance he might accidentally break the thing, he took the Gym Leader's phone. With his coarse fingers he slowly typed in his number. With the speed at which he typed anyone could tell that he was not used to using a phone. The only reason he had one was because his previous job required him so, otherwise he had no need for it. Once he finished typing he handed it back to the Gym Leader.

Feeling shy, he rubbed his neck. He truly did not feel comfortable having someone be that nice to him. However odd that might sound. "Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. I owe you a favor." He got it out of the way, a drink wouldn't attest to the level of favor the Gym Leader had done for him. So he spoke in words a contract that the Gym Leader might one day use to have him do a service to return the favor.

He took note of what the lady said. About her royalty line and how she was an expat. He was unsure if there were any customs or traditions he should abide to when talking to her. But even if there were it would have been too late by now. But he was sure he was being respectful to her throughout their exchange.

Just like with Josh, Zata grew more comfortable being in the presence of the lady. He could tell that she was listening and was genuinely interested in the conversation when she asked further. But to answer she presented, he took a while to answer. He looked at his shoes as he pondered in silence, a few seconds was all it take for him to realize that he did not know what he was looking for. "I don't know." He answered truthfully. "But I believe, there is something out there, calling to me." He further explained, trying to be rational and not look crazy.

The young trainer thought he misheard the Gym Leader. That was when the man corrected himself. Zata was nothing but flabbergasted. It took him a while to register what just happened. When the Gym Leader pulled out his phone and asked him how to spell his last name, Zata got tongue-tied for a while.

When he finally recollected himself, he answered, "N-E-F-E-R-T-U-M.". He didn't know why but he could feel his heartbeat racing. Was this it? He didn't expect it to be this easy. There had to be a catch.

If Cian were to receive the information available through the ranger's database he would learn that Raul Nefertum for years worked at the Pokemon Sanctuary of Fortree Gym, one of many of Alexei Ivanov loyal rangers. During the Ultra Beast War, he was stationed in Lilycove. After the war ended, Raul Nefertum was classified as MISSING, but after failure of discovering his whereabouts and/or his body. He was presumed dead. But it might take awhile for the data to be relayed from whoever he was texting.

Awkwardness finally dawned onto Zata as he stood there in silence, not only had he disturbed this gentleman's day but he begged and insisted him to help him. While they're waiting for a response, Zata would then offer, as a conscience of guilt, "I-" He begun but was momentarily lost for words, "I appreciate you for doing this. Is there anything I can do to repay your generosity? Umm," He thought of what he could offer, and being an alcoholic of course the first thing that came to mind was, "A drink?".

Zata thought that Gyms were places where trainers go to compete and show off their skills. But he learnt from Josh that it was something more than that. It definitely opened his mind to what Pokemon trainers are like. He wondered if he would one day drop by the Gym and ask someone to help him train his Pokemon. He had no reason for it at the current moment but perhaps in the future, if circumstances would to change. He knew exactly where to head to.

They finished their meal, and when the bill came in Zata had no trouble sliding his card. It wasn't that he was rich, far from that. But that he had close to no desires for materialistic possessions (except of course, alcohol and tobacco, but he always resorted to the cheap ones) that he was able to save a lot from his salaries. So spending a lot on a rare occurrence such as this did not mind him at all.

Zata was having a hard time believing it but he rather enjoyed Josh's company; And he felt it nice to be called nice. He didn't see himself as 'nice' but again, his perspective was deeply skewed. "Thanks." Was all he managed to say, albeit he was genuine with it. He was still not used to social interactions and it really showed.

The voice were distinct from the silence of the nighttime. Zata paused in his steps, unable to identify who or what was causing the disturbance in noise. For in a drunkard state he couldn't make out what the officer was saying. All he heard and saw was an intelligible mess. He stepped closer, realizing that it was a person after all.

Alcohol would reek from his mouth as he neared, its smell heightened as he spoke, "R-Rol, is tha' yew," His speech slurred. He had mistaken for the kind gentleman for his deceased brother. The hallucination probably caused by the constant thoughts of his sibling. He would raise his hand, albeit slowly, to reach to the officer's face. He would then start laughing and backed a little. An attempt at waving his finger sideways was made. "No-no-no, yor naht Rawol," He laughed again, "Yor a liar!" He suddenly broke out, anger clear in his voice. But immediately after, he began to weep, "Why did you leave,".

With that he swung the glass bottle in his hand to his mouth, emptying it at an alarming rate. "Aah," He exhaled as he finished the alcoholic drink. As if nothing had happened. Zata continued walking forward, with his steps becoming more and more irregular. He was bound to trip himself.

"Huh," He sounded after Josh revealed that not many of his Gym Challengers battled him for the badge. He found it peculiar as he couldn't understand why else would the trainers take on the Gym challenge. Being new to Pokemon training, he had yet to grasp the exhilaration in battles and challenges.

"Thanks." He thanked Josh after he said he would email him his findings.

Zata followed the Gym Leader, cutting the burger down the middle and exposing the sizzling cheese inside, "Oh wow," Zata had never seen cheese like that before. They waited together, with Zata in awe at how gorgeous the inside of the split burger looked. After Josh took a bite, Zata followed suit. Taking his first bite of the burger. The perfect combination of ingredients and sauce, with its still heated temperature, Zata melted at the taste of it. "Mmm," He let out a silent moan as his eyes closed and his taste buds revel in the meal.

His peace did not last long, in a split second the scenery changed as a sudden noise disturbance filled the area. The man's face grimaced and he dropped the cigarette from his mouth. "What the fuck is that." He cursed. Naturally he followed the noise to check what was ruining his peaceful afternoon walk. He cut through bushes and tall grasses, approaching the source of the noise.

The dark haired man emerged from a bush to see something he had never seen before. A shiny Beedrill, but not only that, it was of a size bigger than any Beedrill he had seen. It's big wings buzzing so fast it was hard for Zata to catch it. But upon closer inspection, there was something weird about the Beedrill's wings. "Is that... a person?" He couldn't believe it. He cupped his hands around his mouth, "Hey can you hear me?! Are you in danger?!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, hoping that whoever was moving in such fast motion atop the Beedrill's wings could hear him.

Zata admired her as he learned that she had acquired multiple badges throughout her time as a Pokemon trainer, especially in the Johto region. Then she revealed another information about herself, "You're a royalty?" he wanted to make sure that he had heard her right. Zata picked up that she was a Galarian politician but he didn't know she was of royal bloodline.

He felt even more out of place sitting beside someone like her. "I think you've already proved yourself," he said with a small smile at the corner of his mouth. He didn't say that just to be supportive of her, instead he said it because collecting badges was not an easy feat. Even Zata knew that. His small smile was fleeting as he turned to watch the racetracks and his face muscles relaxed.

"I'm not sure why I decided to carry my brother's Pokemon with me," He began to open up, as she had. "I guess I was hoping they'll take me to the answers I'm looking for. But most of the time they just cause me trouble."
