A sigh escaped him as his lowered his sword putting it back in his sheath on his wall. He had been going through his sword drills since the early hours of the morning, after being woken due to another nightmare. As a distraction he had decided to practice his sword drills not wanting to become rusty when it came to using a sword.

He was about to set up for a bit of target practice when he happened to look at the clock on the wall and noticed the time. Letting out a sigh he decided that target practice would have to wait. Though he knew it wasn’t strictly necessary he wanted to patrol the city, he at least tried to do it once a day. But first he should get cleaned up.

After getting freshened up and getting changed for the day he started brewing some coffee. While he waited for the coffee to finish brewing he pulled his hair back into its usual ponytail. It taken long for his coffee to brew and he poured it into a thermos before calling to his Pokémon so they could head out.

With his Pokémon in tow he left his home and started making his way around the city. As he walked he made sure to keep an eye on every little thing never knowing when someone might try something. His espeon and umbreon stayed at his heels the whole time also seeming to be observing their surroundings probably picking up on how tense Mikael was. But it was hard for him to let down his guard, especially with the way things were nowadays.

The young man had spent his night drinking, again. When the bar kicked him out for causing a ruckus, he wandered the streets with a bottle in hand. He had nowhere to go in the cold city. All his money went to his addiction. Such are the nights for Zata Nefertum. But particularly that night after he had learn key information about his dead brother.

With a hood over his head he walked in a drunk manner. Unable to stay on a straight path. But luckily for everyone else, it was still dark out and not a lot of pedestrians were around. Because if there were he might just stumble onto a passerby.

As he patrolled, his gaze continuously scanned his surroundings. Though it was still dark out, he remained vigilant. Letting down one's guard was a good way to get oneself in a sticky situation, one that might not be able to be resolved.

About fifteen minutes into his patrol, he noticed odd movement from his peripheral vision. Perplexed, he turned his head in the direction of the movement and saw a guy, or at least he assumed it was a guy based on their build, but with their hood up, he couldn't be sure. This also made it impossible to guess their age.

His attention was fully captured as he observed the other person. He watched their movements before noticing the bottle in their hand. 'Drunk, then,' he thought with a sigh. Well, that settled it. He couldn't leave the person in that state, not in good conscience.

With a warm smile on his lips, he approached the person. However, he stopped a few feet away before announcing his presence. One could never predict how a drunk person might react, after all.

"Hello, I couldn't help but notice..." he trailed off, clearly choosing his words carefully before continuing, "your condition, and I was wondering if you had anywhere nearby where you could get better."

Now that he thought about it, the person didn't seem familiar. He was quite familiar with the people who called Mauville their home, considering all the patrolling he did.[break] zata nefertum

The voice were distinct from the silence of the nighttime. Zata paused in his steps, unable to identify who or what was causing the disturbance in noise. For in a drunkard state he couldn't make out what the officer was saying. All he heard and saw was an intelligible mess. He stepped closer, realizing that it was a person after all.

Alcohol would reek from his mouth as he neared, its smell heightened as he spoke, "R-Rol, is tha' yew," His speech slurred. He had mistaken for the kind gentleman for his deceased brother. The hallucination probably caused by the constant thoughts of his sibling. He would raise his hand, albeit slowly, to reach to the officer's face. He would then start laughing and backed a little. An attempt at waving his finger sideways was made. "No-no-no, yor naht Rawol," He laughed again, "Yor a liar!" He suddenly broke out, anger clear in his voice. But immediately after, he began to weep, "Why did you leave,".

With that he swung the glass bottle in his hand to his mouth, emptying it at an alarming rate. "Aah," He exhaled as he finished the alcoholic drink. As if nothing had happened. Zata continued walking forward, with his steps becoming more and more irregular. He was bound to trip himself.
