He's walking his fidough when the rain starts. Benji pauses on the bridge, confused, as his face turns up toward the sky. "I thought it was supposed to be clear today.." Before he can even think to pull out his phone and check the weather app, though, the bad weather picks up. Slow droplets suddenly turn torrential - like being in the thick of a tropical storm.[break][break]
Bao yips, soft body grown damp from the rain. "Oop, sorry buddy, sorry," he apologies as he scoops the little dog up and tucks him inside the fold of his zipper hoodie. He's already drenched from the downpour, but he pulls up his hood and sinches the strings so that he can knot them together anyway. No matter how ridiculous he looks.[break][break]
That's when the rumbling starts.[break][break]
"What the-!" The planks of the bridge hum with unstable energy as a ball of furious mist solidifies and crashes against the opposite end. With a squawked yelp, he takes off running - scrambling to get to the other side as wooden beams start to groan and split with loud cracks as they fold under the impact.[break][break]
Ben puffs out a breath when lands on the grassy path on the other side, "Phew, that was close." He'd almost ate shit, the way his sneakers had skidded on the suddenly slick planks. As he catches his breath, he spots the commotion now that his own panic has subsided.
"Oh, poor thing." The latios looks as agitated as the afflicted latias - he's never seen anything like the chains that embed themselves into its body.[break][break]
Not the most offensive battler, he frowns and sends out his furret. "Go help someone, if you can," he says, "but then come right back!!" The pink furred pokemon trills and noodles off - lending a HELPING HAND to bolster the effort to contain the struggling Latias.
