she had been expecting to be put in the care of another. it didn't happen often, but it had enough that she knew what to expect.

or she thought she did, anyways. there was always an outlier, though, and this time it came in the form of a torchic. a very angry torchic. an extremely angry torchic, apparently, who demands to fight her without any other warning beyond making eye contact.

me? getting inspired by the kyogre cult mission + the sootopolis thing? more likely than you think!

a tldr:[break]
- raised to believe they were a prophet of kyogre. is, in fact, just a regular person. hasn't figured that out yet.[break]
- the hatterene is practically not even theirs- sure, they own it, but it's more to keep them out of trouble than anything else.[break]
- speaking of the hatterene! has had some memory wipes due to it, mostly when they were younger. who doesn't have weird gaps in their memory, though? it's fine.[break]
- was not in sootoplis during kyogre's rampage, and only found out with everyone else. you'd think this would shake them a little, but no. they're still pretty sure kyogre had its reasons for not telling them. and yes they are ignoring that kyogre hasn't told them anything before.[break]
