"I got it, I got it." And for the most part, he did.

But after navigating towards Pacifidlog waters, Julian quickly reciprocated the pseudo challenge issued by another grunt on the water. "See bro, i'm not the only one." Jules exclaims, barely heard over the throttle of the turbo engine kicking in.

The other grunt is in a smaller boat which breaks away at the start, but eventually tops out, allowing Julian and his likely unhappy passenger to catch up as they corner the first buoy. It's a rough turn, feeling as though Julian were about to capsize the two brothers.

"Feels just like drift racing!" Jules maintains confidence in himself, reducing the throttle and allowing them to overtake the grunt by punching it on the final straight. Ignoring their cries for a rematch, Jules returns to their original course.

"If not this kinda thing, what exactly do you do for fun here in Hoenn?" Forced to wait on a fake trainer's license in order to start catching wild pokemon or take on the gym circuit, Julian was genuinely curious... What was Adrian doing with his time?

"Mannn, you suck." Julian remarks before ultimately sitting passenger in the humvee. While his brother makes mention of big guns, Jules opens the window to blow out the smoke of a freshly lit cigarette in hand. Eventually, he does inquire about them.

"So did you mean like artillery or anti air?" Having never cared much for history, he never knew just at what scale Rocket waged their wars. "Or is it something we can actually get our hands on?"

Whatever the answer, it would be apparent as soon as Adrian parked. Cargo of the precious variety was being handled, seemingly given out among a couple other hands that were present.[break] I wonder if they'd let me keep one. Probably not.

Rather than get pushy, he awaited Adrian's lead. As one of the new faces, it was best Jules just stood there and shut up while the alleged superiors dictated his duties. But by the looks of it, they were headed for the water.

"What're the odds they'd let me take one of these for a night out? Y'know, like a yacht party or something." While the other Rockets might have intended them for war, Julian felt like he could throw a proper rager if he could get his hands on one of the big ones.

For now, a smaller one catches his eye, and the fact nobody is abord like with the others causes Jules to invite himself aboard. And would you look at that? The keys were in the ignition. All he had to do was turn it...

The engine rumbles, tempting Julian to take off with it. It may not be a car, but there was still the possibility for a race.

Worried whimpers beget a willing mind. 'Alright, alright... !' They relent, spilling information regarding DEREK HOFFMAN's secret stache of pokemon hidden along the city outskirts. Apparently after losing all of his pokemon that were in storage during the three day war, the ex-gym leader had taken it upon himself to ensure their safe-keeping on his own.

Their frantic pleas to be released for cooperating earn a swift slam of Jules' knife into the table, metals shrilling as they snagged and dragged with an uncomfortable sound. "Now, now, let's not get ahead of ourselves! You are going back into a cell until we can vet this info—Better yet, act on it."

As much as he would've liked to make good on their word after getting what they wanted, Julian had no intention of getting duped. He absolutely loathed being made to look a fool, most of all in the eyes of those close to him. While family wasn't everything to Jules like it was for some, part of him wanted to earn Adrian's favor.

Escorting the prisoner back behind bars alongside his brother, the two of them would finally have a brief moment alone as they set along to submit the intel report.

"As fun as that was bro, I don't know about this whole upcoming war thing." Weaving a hand inside his jacket, Jules reveals just two pokeballs on his person. "I haven't been able to train much since getting here. Between the rangers, officers and all the do-goodies around... Anyway, what I am trying to say is, if you know someone, or someplace—Hit my phone with the details."

Adrian was always better with handling pokemon, as he was capable of far more than the violent hand his little brother expressed. Like father and his belt, Julian only knew of one way to make a pokemon submit. And thanks to the power of his two pokemon, they often didn't survive the ordeal...

The high tensions on display read as if they're about to crack—Agonizing enough to commit a small act of self-harm, only to allege that what they know would be of no real use to them. Jules doesn't buy it for a second. Lurching up out of his chair, it grates against the floor disruptively as he struggles to hold both hands down by the chain of their cuffs.

"That's not for you to decide!" Once pinned, Julian's off-hand reaches for and brandishes a knife that has seen better days—it's edge hideously blemished by ichor, chips, rust and Arceus knows what other filth.

"You think our guys picked you up by accident—by chance?!" If rocket operated without a rhyme or reason, they wouldn't have succeeded so much with their conquest of Hoenn thus far. No. Their targets were always selected, and with good reason. Jules had to believe that, even if he hadn't been around long enough to know for certain.
