Chances were that Arabella Trovato wasn't a honeypot sent by Team Rocket, but her eagerness triggered every warning alarm that had been set by his training. Still, what was the harm in letting loose for once?[break][break]

"Bella..." He began, arm falling to around her shoulders, sliding off the leather effortlessly. "...did you know that Pidgeot can spot prey from up to a mile away?" Nick hummed, taking a sip of his drink with his free hand.[break][break]

He leaned down, getting close to her ear as she initiated physical contact. "You're welcome to my nest tonight." A coy smirk crawled across his lips, downing the rest of his drink.[break][break]

"It would be nice to talk somewhere more quiet." He added, casting a glance towards the evening crowd that shuffled in.

A quick scan of their body and posture told him that she was studying him, for one reason or another, but more importantly told him that she wasn't carrying any weapons. "How about you, Bella? Don't seem much like a bar person." [break][break]

A hand involuntarily moved the napkin his drink had been sitting on, hovering his glass over the graphite-stricken paper. His art made him feel exposed, like he'd ripped a piece of himself off to show the world, he'd rather not draw attention to it. "Not as much as I used to. If I'm not flying, I'm taking care of my birds for the most part." The last few years had been mission after mission, fighting Team Rocket back at the Johto border.[break][break]

"Are you still..." Nick froze, coming up short. Did he really remember so little about her? Guilt and embarrassment wrestled for superiority while he took a quick drink, reframing his question. "...living here in Rustboro?" [break][break]

[attr="class","sebwtw"]There are those who arrive early and then there is Nick, posted up in a booth long before he was supposed to meet with his 'date'. Call it paranoia or preparation, but the Lieutenant prefered to get eyes on a venue ahead of time, just in case.[break][break]

Now, it had been years since someone had called him 'little' or 'Nicky' yet the words sent a shiver down his spine all the same. "Bella." He offered a smile, noting that she seemed to have not changed much since High School, aside from...[break][break]

"Can I order you a drink?" Nick raised his own to his lips, a double whiskey on the rocks, answering her question with the gesture. The immediate physical contact was jarring, but he managed to raise a hand to flag down a server.
