well-dressed arian had been brought to a farm per a request. the gym leader, alongside councilman FERNANDO SILPH , were asked to assist in a troublesome mating between two pokemon. "apparently the pokemon are having trouble, uhm..." covering his mouth arian cleared his throat, continuing bashfully, "producing children. . . ." immoral. even the exuberant blonde had trouble imagining such a situation between humans, led alone pokemon. how shameful, arian.

they stood outside of the farm owner's home. greeted by a wife and husband who were ecstatic to be in the presence of the newly appointed gym leader of lilycove and the blunet councilman. the wife would greet the duo with a pinch upon their cheeks, gushing over how handsome they looked. "a-as kind as you are ma'am, could you introduce us to the pangowo--i mean pangoro's!" why did he talk like a child? was he off his game today?

the old man, with haste, brought the duo to the pangoro's. the pangoros's resided within a large barn, filled with bamboo sticks and other greenery. before the group did a pangoro sit in one corner, staring outside of the window; whereas the other sat with a scowl upon its face. a look of shock and glee emerged upon arian's face, cerulean hues bedazzled, "p-pangoro's!?" he wanted to hug them and take them both home! sadly, he was here on business.

surprised look. he and his partner haunter were walking about the town of fallabor. preparing to head out on a personal training regimen. it wasn't until he saw the assistant of professor lucas, Rhian McArthur, that he'd casually call, "ms.mcarthur!" a light wave, he'd smile, "what brings you to fallabor?" arian asked.

while talking to rhian, arian was also making sure to keep an eye out for the pokemon he and his partner were hunting for during their training. "haunter, keep an eye out." arian commanded, his gaze brought back onto rhian. a smile returning from an expression that shifted for but a short second.

001. a game of hide-n-seek [ duo wild ]

surprised look. the duo would come to pass by a wimpod and blitzle. they weren't the eye of his target for today, but next time he'd snag them. his head darted to face fernando. a look of wonder as the blunet spoke. "that's a good question! i'm not sure myself as of yet," then the inspection was brought up, "oh! the inspection, haha!" he'd blurt out a light titter. "i forgot about that, i'm pretty excited to take you on!" the inspection most likely meant he'd come to see how he ran his gym.

"i hope you'll be participating as a trainer and not as a councilman, it'd be boring if the battle was strictly business you know!" the jovial blonde spoke. he didn't enjoy serious adult conversations. he just wanted to gamble and battle--mostly the former. gambling against fernando would be a plus, he's always wanted to battle him on an even playing field. always wondering just what sort of face he'd make in the face of potential loss. "y'know, mister fernando, my gym isn't just all about battling. when i was given the role to become a gym leader, i thought really hard on how i could make it exciting for both myself and the trainer in question, but also challenging." hands in pocket, eyes shut as he tried to remember the challenges he's had up til now.

a smile never wavered, yet seemed strange; almost as if it were a facade. his eyes came to open slowly, hollowing they were indeed. "the way i've chosen to lead as a gym leader is far different from my brother. sure, i enjoy a good gamble--a fun game. my methods are seen as childish, maybe even crazy, by some. but there is purpose in my style of leading, a lot of it. my goal--no--desire is to see the face of someone whose willing to go all in against fate; ready to partake in a risk that can prove detrimental or hopeful."

turning to face fernando with a smile, he'd come to a halt, "if there's one thing i hate mister fernando, more then anything in this world--something that i find most disrespectful..." a scowl formed, "is when someone gives up in the face inevitability. i despise a game where i know i'll come out the winner or the loser, if there is no chance to leaving it up to fate. i won't be entertained by tomfoolery." and like that he'd revert back to a cheery expression, "but other then that, i take my job serious!"

clasping his hands together. arian looked to the sky with a sparked joy in his expression, "ah, man! mister fernando, i can't wait to gamble with you! the thought of seeing you fall into despair, to see how far you're willing to go in a gamble?! i wonder if you're as cool as they say you are when battling; i hope it's the same as when you gamble, hehe!" arian mused.

ooking over his shoulder once more, he'd smile softly, "the gym is going pretty fine." turning to fully face her, hands on hip, "though, honestly, it can get so tiring. do you know how many people have challenged me? they either lose to me in a gamble or the battle. i need stronger challengers." hands upon hip, he'd look toward the shimmering sun that began to hide behind puffy, white cloud. a shadow casting over them, "and then mister fernando is coming to inspect my gym soon. so that's gonna be a hassle, why did my brother have to push this duty onto me. i was promised fun challengers for my games, and all i've gotten are people who can barely handle the wager. i feel so bad for them half of the time that i just rectify the entire bet." he had a heart. he wasn't as ruthless as people made the grim dealer out to be.

how did he even earn this moniker to begin with? he was just a guy who enjoyed gambling. that's it. "oh?" a loud battle cry was made. "what's that noise," he asked, pausing to get a clearer look. as arian followed the sound, he'd come to see around the mountain corner the clashing of a combusken and gallade! "hoh!" eyes lit ablaze. "i-it's a gallade and combusken!" a pokemon enthusiast, he wanted the both of them. "i need your assistance, cait; help me capture the two of them! i could definitely use them in my future games!" the moment that the word 'catch' was heard did the duo pokemon face the both of them.

arian, filled with glee, threw out haunter's respective pokeball. "come out, haunter! use confuse ray!" and the second haunter appeared upon the battlefield, it would appear facing the gallade. nearly five feet away, it would radiate a blue glow from its eyes. "if i were you i'd look away from this little mischievous guy, haha." before gallade could react, it would be come susceptible to confuse ray. the gallade was now confused.

"let's hit it hard with shadow ball." snapping his finger, gallade would be met with a dark sphere to the gut. causing it to be smacked into the combusken. "let's wrap this up with a pokeball, shall we?" throwing a ball at the head of the gallade. it would come to be absorbed the next, eaten by a beam of crimson red energy. the ball shook in wait of being captured. all that was left was the capture of combusken.

e had just finished a mission and heard that there was a hot spring somewhere upon route 116. "being gym leader has to be one of the worst jobs anyone can take." a tired sigh. he was in search of the hot spring he had been supposedly directed toward. to his avail there was nothing. he must have gotten lost upon the way. "there's nothing but trees around here." scratching the side of his cheek, he looked around and wondered if the duo, arian and haunter, got lost.

"what a complex pathway. there's suppose to be a tunnel that should lead us to the hot spring, but we've yet to see any tunnel like that." thinking about it, he remembered, "also, on the way over here, didn't over hear talk of some mysterious pokemon looming about this place?" eyes began to sparkle, his energy? back on! "let's go catch it!" before the decision was made to abandon the hot spring, they would come to stand in the way of a female who, too, must have been lost. together they, he and haunter, stood behind the female, and asked, "everything alright?"

onfused at first. he'd let out a light chuckle. "no, no, no, nothing like that." a slothful wave, he'd continue, "i'm searching for a growlithe; i specialize in psychic-types, but i'm branching out. i've had a few interesting challenges as of late, and as much as i'd like to stick to the type specialization of my gym; i'd like to offer a greater challenge to them!" plus, he just wanted to make his game tougher.

secretly, he tried to sound cool. but deep down inside he was as giddy as a child about what pokemon they were going to find today. eyes sparkling as they faced forward. rummaging through the grass was a larvae and a pignite, merrily frolicking about. "so cute!" he wanted to catch the little critters, but not today! someday, but just not today! "ah! delphi," turning to face her, "you like dragons, correct?" a guess was made from her sudden inquire about the duo searching for one.

ooking over his shoulder. he'd chuckle and say, "you're such a girl." for someone who played with grass-type he thought she'd be accustomed to harsh terrains or something. had she no desire to be close with the earth? "aren't you a gym leader that specializes in grass? i guess that isn't anything compared to a jungle, i guess. so it's understandable as to why you feel that way when i think about." a childlike hum. he wasn't sure what sort of training cait did, but considering lilycove's city was a big place. he and his siblings used it for parkour exercise. tiring, but fine and great on the stamina.

"you should come to lilycove, we'll help build your stamina caitty cat." he nicknamed the female. smiling as the duo would bypass a primape and chinchou minding their own business. leaving the group be had they chosen, too, chosen to leave them be.

he feminine voice caught him by the ear. turning to face the smiling greenette. a smile returned, cerulean eyes gleamed with glee. "no worry!" and with the flick of a wrist a ball was tossed. conjuring a haunter from its capsule. "this mischievous little guy is gonna guide us to his kin!" greeting the girl with a wave, haunter casually levitated about the duo.

"the recent sighting of the haunting was in the suite's kitchen. so we'll head there, hopefully grab something to eat while we're at it." the white suit male spoke. "shall we?" extending his arm toward the direction of their path. haunter would mimic its trainer, only to give a haughty laughter and float ahead. guiding the duo to their destination.

he hauntings were getting out of hand. it was a hassle that the other gym leaders were busy. of all the people they wanted to appoint the gym leader of lilycove. it was a hassle, but nonetheless he didn't go against orders. had he known becoming gym leader would be such a hassle on him he would've left the title and position to his brother.

outside of the mauville suite. arian had been told of someone who, too, would be accompany him upon this assignment. he wasn't sure whether she was a normal trainer or league member, but help was always appreciated. "just where are they, i wonder..." arian lowly said.

he sky grew dim. the color turned a pink and orange glow. the sun was setting. they had only but so long until the flower would reveal itself. "alright, this should be it." with a companion at his side. her name was @delphi, a gal he met not too long and beat in a gamble. he needed her for one day and one day only, then she could be set free.

"this should be the spot. alright, delphi; you're going to help me pick a flower. it's a moonflower, and they're said to only grow once around this part of the region every year. you can only find them in the night, they're believed to blossom under the moonlight; hence why they're called the 'moonflower'. i need you to help me find not only that, but also a specific pokemon i heard lurks around these parts." why did he need a moonflower? who knows! all she needed to do was find it, pick it, and also assist in him snatching up a pokemon said to roam about these parts.

a kind smile given. this task should prove to be simple and easy. it did, after all, simply involve the usage of ones eyes. they stood in an open-field. no trees around, just simply grass. "it'll be a bit hard to find the moonflower without the moon up yet, but i'm sure with hardwork, luck, and determination; i'm sure we can find it!" he spoke with confidence.
