Evan laughs, but it's not really at his agitation exactly. "No need to be sorry, I imagine this month has been hell for you guys. You called me and trust me, I'm pretty much the bottom of the list." at his own request, of course. Evan's helped the rangers in the past during his many travels, he can't be at the ready whenever they want but he can offer them an extra hand when they need it. Like right now.

"'Sides I'm one of those mountain climbing idiots too despite the weather, though so far I've gotten back down on my own without a problem!" there's a slight tilt to his head that somehow makes the gentle smile even more so. He's playing off the comment with a verbal grace that can only come from someone that talks too much to too many people.

He steps in line with the other, slight gestures to his pokemon adjusting their positioning so that the mimikyu's heat with cover the front of the pack, his Volcarona the back and the delphox will walk between them [the squishy humans] to ensure that they don't succumb to the weather any more than the pokemon will. His musharna only sighs as he begins winding up greater sweeps of snow with his psychic self- carefully avoiding burrying the other individual's fire types beneath the frost.

His hands return to his pockets, hoping to avoid the chill that always seems to settle into them too easy. "When the banks were new?" he glances at him again, thinking a little more about that adventure that he hadn't really deigned to commit too strongly to memory after giving an official report of the individual he dealt with.

"That's explain why you look familiar." he nods along, taking no offense at all to the fact he doesn't remember his name because frankly, evan doesn't remember anything worth shit without putting a lot of effort into it. "I have no idea what your name is either, I don't remember things very well sometimes, especially faces and names." it's more the voice that tips him off, actually.

"Evan Fader then, and I won't be offended if you forget again."

There's a light chuckle on his lips and the look on his face says he half expected such an answer. He's used to people making those kinds of comments, especially as the year drags on. It's a season where people find too many ways to trouble themselves. "Mm, the kind that people comment about often then?" it's a bit rhetorical, more to be friendly than not.

Evan finds that he's taking another look at the bar and the gentleman is not entirely wrong. The Stray has spent many years surviving but not necessarily thriving. He knew that going into the place, the last owner had convinced himself it was time to let the old place go. Things had begun to sip and the place fell off the map in the last decade or so. One year had not been enough for him to bring back the life it used to have. "It gets quiet yes, but not so much I worry too much." the other do, but he does his best not to let it get to them too much.

FERNANDO SILPH

He likely comes into focus a bit more clearly than expected and as the other draws closer they will find a gentle "Well somehow, yes." waiting for them in the pocket of weakening snow. His pokemon are clearly ready for the unusually harsh winter even if the native ones are not.

The Volcarona looms above his head, the waves of heat stemming from her gentle wings enough to keep their small cluster from fearing the snow. The Delphox beside him keeps the group on the ground warm, the mimikyu on his shoulder seems to be eager to cuddle into the scarf around his neck and tucked up over his chin. His hat almost slips on but she returns it to where it belongs before it can fly away in the wind and it is the Musharna at his feet that moves the snow out of their way as they walk, the psychic type being far too used to such endeavors.

"I'm a little surprised I got the call really, but I suppose the ranks have thinned now that everyone's safer than they had been huh?" he's more of a reserve call and he knows it. Truthfully he prefers it that way. He's got far too much on his plate nowadays to try and take on all of these endeavors as well.

He reaches up with a quick gesture of his gloved hand. "Meg, Solaria." their names are enough to move them into action, his mimikyu jumping to his feet, her copy cat allowing her to double the volcarona's heat wave and create a source that will stay by his side, the bug type moves to find the other pokemon in the snow, offering a buffer between them at the storm so long as they can stay within her radiating heat.

Evan cannot say he'll make things easy, but he's prepared to make it possible at the very least. It's not until the last second he realizes this face may actually be a bit familiar, though he can't quite nail down why.

he chuckles at the look on her face. "Apologies, I'm a firm believer that if you are old enough and smart enough to ask me the question then you should also receive an actual answer." at least for the most part. He almost made a comment about not using the kid gloves but has a feeling her fiery personality may feel a little upset over the idea. He's not one to walk on tip toes around someone but that doesnt mean he shouldn't think before he comments a little. Just a little.

Eyes shift to her returning pokemon who seems rather pleased with himself. He grins before turning back to her with a shrug of his shoulders. "I was checking on some friends in my spare time. There's an old couple that's lived up here most their lives I was looking for but I got a dit distracted." he doesn't explicitly state she's the distraction but it wouldn't take much thought to realize that. He doesn't mind too much though.

"You manage to sell any berries up here? Not a lot of people to market to." he quirks a brow. He can kind of guess how the butt kicking is going but he questions the berry sales a little. Most people wouldn't really come this way unless they had to.

Annie Mei

they hear it before it hits, the rocks cascading from above them down to them. His fox responds before he needs to say anything, her psychic creating a would be barrier between them and the attack. His houndoom buckles down, growling at the threat but he hold up a hand to stop the pokemon, looking for the source before they make a move. He recognizes the cry from afar, the mudkip line is rather popular in the region as one of their signature pokemon.

"Mai, be a doll." the energies around her swirl and focus, seeking the target for a future sight attack, the pokemon is exactly the opposite of what he expected to find in the cave and though they can handle it fine he'd rather make quick work of it. The attack connects from afar and they approach the pokemon with caution, prepared to return the next strike if they must.

Instead Evan finds it scared and hiding behind a rock, perhaps it was just fearful of what came this way. They are strangers to the cave after all, and perhaps it is too. Neither party is really where they belong. Evan retrieves a berry from his bag, something of a peace offering and though the pokemon is hesitant at first with patience he finds it is accepted.

The pokeball is next, because perhaps what shelter he cam offer it at the stray will prove better than this cave.

"My, how darling." He smiles at the pokemon, offering a hand for pats of attention should the pokemon be willing to accept. There's no denying how well cared for her pokemon seem to be and Evan admires the effort she must have put into them.

Evan straightens, eyes wondering as he looks out over the foliage in hopes of seeing signs of his own pokemon. It comes as no surprise that he doesn't see them just yet. "Bumble and Suzy Q" his voice trails off into a hum thinking over the only other pokemon he'd be willing to release in the forest out of combat. "Meg's a bit picky but she might." he taps the pokeball she belongs in, the mimikyu emerging with her back turned to the crowd. She yawns, looking up at Evan before realizing they have company she did not expect. The small pokemon is quickly startled, jumping at so many being present and scurrying behind his legs. Her small body quakes, rattling the disguise she wears.

"Now now, they don't bite. At least they haven't yet." he steps aside, forcing the pokemon into the spotlight. "Meg, Cait and her pokemon, Cait, Meg. She's easily startled but she warms up to people fast." the shaking stops rather suddenly, his mentioning of a name showing familiarity and she accepts that the woman has already been vetted as not an immediate threat. Still, the pokemon seems to only watch her from under her disguise, keeping her distance.

"Are you a breeder by the way? You've mentioned a few of them being children." He's curious and just as he turns to her and away from the foliage his lilligant and whimsicott emerge, the former dragging the other by his fluff. Her other appendage carrying a fair share of berries, the rest stored in the cotton sheeps fluff while they tried to find the group.

"Whiskey sour with a crown." he repeats, more to acknowledge the request than anything else. It pulls him from his thoughts which is never a bad thing. All too often and too easily the man slips into his own head and doesn't come back out until the night is almost gone. A troublesome habit from years and not having to worry about such things.

Moments later the empty glass slides away, replaced with another in a fluid motion that only comes from doing this one too many times. He seems to linger for a moment, watching the man. His weariness is evident and when it's not the first glass Evan starts to pay attention. He's not afraid to cut people off when they're starting to hit the point of no return.

He gives him a second. "He seem rather worn out. Long day friend?" his voice is surprisingly gentle for someone that seems like they would be anything but. His eyes don't really linger on him, looking out over the tables that he should be tending instead getting lost in his head.
