"you don't have to get me anything, though." it's soft, almost nervous. "you're not obligated to, you know."

except, he probably does know and she's overthinking it. just girly things?

a giggle escapes, then, and she's shifting closer to bump her hip into his.

"suit and all, huh? is that something you're interested in?"

her smile is almost too sweet for the subject matter, perhaps, but she's fishing for something there. whatever it is, she doesn't know.

her hands wander to the waist line of pants but her eyes don't follow. no, they linger on his face, as if etching it into memory for when this moment inevitably breaks.

she hums at the thought. perhaps to be expected? she does, after all, have him to thank for her way of living. he was the enabler, molding her into what she is today.

"is it?" she stares him down, head tilting slightly.

"would your schedule be cleared, though?" refusing to share is a trait they both possess, unfortunately. it makes for, admittedly, messy affairs.

and that, my friends, is why giada doesn't do feelings. her schedule is too full for attachment. at least, that's what she tells herself.

"sorry," she mumbles, hands beginning to fiddle with the whip fastened to her belt. her smile is warm, even if it dips into mildly uncharacteristic territory. it's not every day gia's shy. "i'd like whatever you got me, you know."

because it'd be coming from him.

a laugh escapes. it's not surprising he wants a nintendo switch. unfortunately, she'd probably have to steal one. actually... not a bad idea.

"okay," she hums. "i'll see what santa has for you."

she flushes at the realization. it's a foreign concept but it brings butterflies regardless.

"i," she mumbles, tripping over words until she manages to string together a coherent thought. "i'd like anything," comes in a soft whisper as if she's nervous.

"what do you consider useful?" her head tilts, then, and she's weighing options. what do men think are useful?

a light laugh escapes. the thought of punishment is, admittedly, fun.

”okay,” she murmurs as his fingers drift down to her jaw. ”not gonna use my whip on me, are you?” it’s teasing, mostly.

[attr="class","giada i"]chiming giggles escape as realization sets in. she can see the gears churn until he's summoning out his aggron to assist. and when the pokemon grunts, her head turns to offer it a grateful smile.

a cutie, even if it's a little cranky. she doesn't blame it, really. she'd be cranky after having a nap interrupted too.

the question makes her pause. is he asking just to ask or is he fishing for something?

an eyebrow raises and despite herself, there's a dusting of pink spreading across her cheeks. she pays it no mind.

"anything." it's surprisingly easy to please her: give her a heartfelt gift and she's putty.

"what do you want for christmas, love?"

she peers around him for a moment to check out how the t-shirt looks. it's big but it covers enough, truthfully. the fabric is soft too... it just barely brushes against the tops of her thighs.

attention snaps back when he leans, when he whispers.

"could be arranged," she murmurs. the smile shifts, morphs, and takes on a more teasing manner than before. "how bad we talking, though?"

there's a sliding scale, you know.

she's tired of this bird already. it keeps giving her dirty looks. maybe because cian's doing all the work and she's merely looking pretty? nah, couldn't be.

"maybe it's coal," she muses, turning toward him with a grin. has hoenn been bad this year?

she steps a little closer, careful to keep a distance from the delibird. it still squawks when she gets too close to the sack cian's dragging. eyes narrow in response but she doesn't give it any more satisfaction.

"or someone's getting an entire store for christmas." man, she'd like that...

her smile grows fuzzy and fond over the cheek kiss. and as she's pulling the shirt over her head, fabric muffles laughter.

"i don't know what you're talking about," she murmurs. her head pops out a moment later and the expression is coy. feigned innocence doesn't belong on her features. "i'm always good."

well... good when it counts, anyway.

the delibird in front of them huffs in irritation. she huffs back, naturally. stuck up bird...

her nose wrinkles.

"aren't santas supposed to be cheerful?" and not an ass like this delibird. "someone's got their feathers in a twist."
