He exaggerated.

“No tales of teaching troubled torchics to tapdance? No woes of weeping walrein washing whites? No heroics of helping heatless houndour hand out needless hijinks?”

He shook his head flamboyantly, turning away and pretending to wipe a tear.

“Maybe I thought you wrong this entire time then.”

It was obvious this whole act was simply that, a smile appearing after the melodramatics.

It was starting to get a little more and more obvious that what was going on was not in fact a manhunt, but just the two looking for a pokemon to catch, and Kim was becoming increasingly aware of Avery catching onto it.

He needed to take the reigns and explain to her that the whole spiel he spoke when they first started with just him goofing off before she worked up the nerve to call him out on it.

With a sigh, he’d begin speaking, turning around as he did.

“Ava, listen, I-”

He cut himself short, seeing as the one who had been following behind him was in fact not Avery at all, but a Jynx.

His featured turned to confusion and he would look left, then right, before calling out to nowhere in particular with a slightly concerned tone.

“Avery?”

His hands would quickly grab hold of his phone, snapping photos quickly and rapidly.

The way she owned it, the poses she made, how she was so quick to realize her potential, it was all so pungent.

“That’s what I want to hear from now on. Let the world know that you aren’t just some daycare worker. Let them know that you’re young, full of vigor, and cute to top it all off~”

He continued snapping her up, moving to and fro to catch her at different angles.

Soon enough, he would have his fill, a sigh of relieve escaping him as he shuffled through the pictures.

“You look really nice, Ava.”

One last sentence to confirm her validity, hopes of releasing her inhibitions heavy on his mind.

“Whenever you’re ready, I’ll be at the checkout.”

He’d click his phone off and start to make his way over to the cahier, awaiting Avery to return with the items picked out.

“Then it’s decided-”

He turned, closing a cabinet and pulling out a couple of glasses.

“-I’ll get to making you spares a.s.a.p.”

A smile formed on his face as he walked over, setting their snacks onto the coffee table, returning to the kitchen area to rinse out their glasses and setting them alongside previously sat items.

“Now.”

He said with a clasp of his hands.

“Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty.”

He chuckles, sitting himself down onto the furnishing.

“I want to hear about what you’ve been up to. What’s been going on since you went rogue?”

A leg crosses over another as he leans back into the sofa, arms splayed around the back of the loveseat.

Kim chuckled at the man once more, turning his head to the sea.

"If you don't already know me, you will eventually."

Once the man had fully left, Kim sat himself down on the beach, allowing not only his Lumineon and Dedenne some well needed fun, but the Swampert as well, the pokemon still in its muscled state beginning to wind down in the setting sun.

He chuckles, looking at the man with a side-eye.

"I have no idea."

He states matter-of-factly.

"MINNOW!"

The Swampert set itself behind her trainer, holding its large frame over his shoulder.

"Get the Wailord back into the sea."

The dual type would call out her name, Kim following up with his own cry.

"TOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTOROTORO-"

Kim would sigh, smoothing his hair back down.

The Lumineon and Dedenne would return to playing in the puddle, Kim and the Swampert standing back to back with one another.

As his breath drew thin, Kim would stand proud, a Dedenne discharging static into the Lumineon's wind.

Meanwhile, the Swampert, in all it's glory, would stand near, swole as can be.

It was only seconds before the two neared each other, the two striking poses with one another in unison.

"Wailord."

The water type would make a guttural calling of its own name, looking down at the man.

"I hope you're ready to go home."

Another utterance from the pokemon would sound its confusion, Kim giving the man one last look.

"You can stop now, we've got this."

Kim looked to the Swampert, the pokemon giving a nod in return.

A deep breath was taken and Kim began to charge his power, a Lumineon in a small alcove of water under himself using Silver Wind to make his clothes and hair float.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The swampert becomes enveloped in a bright light, its form beginnning to shift in unison with Kim's.
