by the end of it, mcflurry's mega high drops like a goddamn anvil. she's tired. she's so tired. she's done so much fucked up shit all at once.

everything's wrong. nothing here feels right. it doesn't even feel like she did any good — she just fought for her life, held on for dear life, and prayed it would be over.

it was, now. and there were at least three legendaries and so many monsters and so many dead people and —

jesus.

the weirdest part was that the loss of her hat was what made her want to cry the most. she had that hat since preschool. back in fiore. and now she's... now she's...

oh, god. oh, god, she's crying. oh, god.

mcflurry cries pathetically, trying and failing to wipe her tears on her sleeves.

in the end, she boards her steelix and slinks through the air towards the refugees. so she can at least do some good, for how much shit went down.

god, this is all fucked.

mcflurry was a blur working on her steelix. a mess of blue paint and streamers and more paint and more streamers. then she squinted. and then her wigglytuff used toxic to take the paint off, and mcflurry had to start from scratch because the shade was off.

she needed this. needed something to unwind: to take away the reminder of her job and everything that came with it. and, honestly, her pokemon were enjoying it, too.

after hours of work, when the lights came on, mcflurry's glalie gave a short but subtle wave of blizzard, sending fractals down the runway to amplify the effect.

the runway damn near crumpled under the weight of what could only be described as a... suicune?

that part makes her falter. a small part of mcflurry's human side tries to claw itself out of the instinctual, feral muck of the energy surrounding her.

(don't stop. stop fighting. fight him. he's evil. evil kills. kill him. except mcflurry's starting to realize that these are voices in her head and —)

mcflurry growls as she clenches her teeth. at the same time, though, she isn't moving, isn't talking. it's like a feral dog figuring out what the hell to do.

in the meantime, however, the tar begins to crystalize, freeze — but it doesn't break. the glalie shrieks in discomfort, but that itself causes another blizzard.

then, mcflurry moves. she starts trudging forward, trying not to get knocked over in her glalie's own winds. she walks to the center, and picks up the glalitite on the floor, grasping it in a fist.

and, just like that, the mega evolution energy cuts off, and mcflurry's left a pale, cold woman standing on the floor of one of the coldest places in hoenn. — but she doesn't at all seem phased by the chill, right now.

"...i don't. i don't get it. we mckill people. we ruin lives. we're disposable. there's nothing mcspecial about — about any of us. you're supposed to kill us off like mc-fucking livestock if we do shit like this."

mcflurry is a rocket grunt. it's how she sees the world. she pauses.

"i don't get it."

everything about this was fucking horseshit. nothing about this was fair. she wanted nothing to do with this. she just wanted to —

(kill the god, kill it so hard the waters dry up and there's nothing left but scorching earth — send it back to the depths as nothing but a carcass for the huntail to eat away at —)

kyogre's primal energy was seeping from its body, and mcflurry could feel it entering her veins like she had an entire iv tube of it up there. her body, so weak, so fragile — so susceptible to mega evolution energy, so much so that it fucks up her neurotransmitters the same way hard drugs would —

(that kyogre's looking pretty susceptible, too — she should kill it, kill it and eat it, kill it and become better, become superior — become apex —)

inhaling the primal kyogre's energy and her own latent hatred like a line of cocaine, mcflurry's eyes whited out, and she started hollering and screaming in pure anger as her body and her glalie's body started burning up in light.

then, all of a sudden, mcflurry's got a mega glalie in her hands, over her head, on her steelix that happens to be housing someone else she never even got the name of.

and then she chucks the fucking pokemon at the kyogre's right wing, and damn near everyone can hear the glalie cry as its dislocated jaw is hurled right at the kyogre.

explosion is the strongest normal-type move known to man currently. it is, in fact, the strongest move without any modifiers, with a base power of 250.

mega glalie has one of the highest attacks, at 120 base value. in addition, its ability, refrigerate, turns normal-type moves into ice-type moves and gives them a power spike of 20%, in addition to the newfound same-type attack bonus.

there is currently a mega glalie hurtling at the kyogre's right fin, attempting to make itself faint by using a refrigerate explosion.

mcflurry screams as her steelix jolts and nearly whips her off its body for the umpteenth time, clenching her teeth through the sea brine. at the same time, it's not the usual fear that clutches her.

no, her usual fear is because she doesn't like hurting people or pokemon. but this kyogre isn't a person. it's barely a pokemon. it's fucking bullshit, is what it is.

the kyogre isn't a moral dilemma for her, or a tragedy. it's another fucking thing she needs to kill before the mission is over.

this is a flawed god that mcflurry wants to murder.

that being said, she keeps up the assault on the left fin and doesn't stop. her golem continues to discharge until there's no voltage left to discharge. abomasnow's shifted from blizzard to sheer cold, trying even harder to cripple the kyogre. her glalie's joined in, as well.

her steelix reapplies its magnet rise through the maddening ocean, trying to stay airborne.

the moment the kyogre pops up is the moment mcflurry decides she's through with this shit. her glalie helpfully shields her from the oncoming lasers using protect, the best it can after a high-power impact like that.

(the steelix easily tanks past the lasers with its gigant defense.)

"mc-cazzo! che due coglioni! figlio de puttana — i mcfucking quit being a rocket after this!"

mcflurry stomps and screams and doesn't care who hears her. and with that, the steelix jets off. towards the primal kyogre, with mcflurry's sheer frustration overpowering her sense of dread.

speeding up one last time to full potential with another rock polish, steelix ducks and dodges and sails past all the incoming attacks from both the kyogre and everyone else attacking the kyogre, until her pokemon get into striking distance.

from there, it's a salvo of all her pokemon's strongest attacks. blizzards and discharges both start slamming into the kyogre's limb, with steelix doing its damn best to weave through the attacks.

mcflurry's hat is lost in the storm, a flash of green camo gone into the ocean.

mcflurry remains blissfully unaware of the mess she's made for everyone else. mostly because holy shit, there were lasers shooting at her now, the moment she got used to her steelix's momentum.

luckily, the steelix kept magnetizing debris, metal, bodies onto its body, and it was able to shield the oncoming lasers, but — it didn't help the scream that erupted from mcflurry as they shook the steel-type.

"wh-wh-what the mcfuck —"

mcflurry caught sight of at least a few drones, however. blue eyes, grey blocky bodies — she looked at them, then at the stakataka, then at them, and she knew what she needed to do.

with bullet train speed, the steelix suddenly leaped into the air, going fully airborne once more and making a beeline towards the stakataka.

any drones that followed would be hard-pressed to survive her golem's resulting discharge, covering mcflurry while she directly assaulted the stakataka right after skyler dross , @iris , and others' assault.

holding on tight, mcflurry screamed more orders past the rushing wind. her abomasnow's white-out hail and mist attack followed her while her glalie used double team, attempting to surround the stakataka with illusions and give it false targets to aim at.

and then, from the icy clouds of precipitation —

steelix used dig directly into the stakataka, its jaws wide open, ready to feed.

as mcflurry holds onto her pokemon for dear life, she finds that it's getting a little easier to get used to the speed. of course, the bumps of running megalopans over is always a little shocking, but — as steelix licks its teeth to clean them of blood, mcflurry does her best to function.

looking over at the rapidly-passing columns at each side of the town, mcflurry's seeing that they're already collapsing. good. she can focus on the more important things.

specifically, killing these bastard aliens who decided to hurt good people.

"mcmcmcmc — mcrock polish! le-let's speed it up! cover me, guh, glalie!"

mcflurry braced for impact — and so did her glalie, as steelix's speed went triplicate of its usual. in essence, it was bouncing off roads now, making turns and using its flight to jump over houses like a really fucked up game of snake.

in the meantime, a protective orb once again surrounded mcflurry and glalie. her abomasnow barely fares any better, using its gargantuan strength to also hold onto the steelix's spikes while it continues to blast blizzards and send the entire town into artificial winter.

her golem, being magnetic, had no such issues holding onto the steelix. instead, it kept using smack down as a parting shot, hitting any enemy forces coming from the air or those that might survive any head-on steelix collision.

(even more is that metal pieces start gravitating towards the steelix. megalopan armor, steel-type pokemon, even debris like soda cans or garbage bins.

golem is beginning to polarize the steelix with its magnet pull, and mcflurry doesn't even notice. the flying monster is slowly but surely becoming a katamari of death.)

- glalie used protect, shielding itself and mcflurry next to it!
- golem's magnet pull! megalopan armor, metal objects, etc. are currently being gravitated towards the high-speed steelix! small debris is starting to build up near golem's position on steelix!
- golem used smack down, targeting any would-be aerial combatants and survivors of steelix's onslaught!
- smack down has a chance to deal area of effect paralysis or electric damage, given its pokedex entry!

mcflurry yelps as her own discharge sends her to her knees, and her golem immediately snaps out of its attack the moment she does. her glalie and her abomasnow also growl in response, the former more than the latter.

she's snapped out of her bloodthirst for a split second, cursing and gasping and trying to stop her muscles from involuntarily contracting so much. the heal pulse does the trick, however, and mcflurry gets herself back on her feet.

"sorry, sorry — mcsorry..."

mcflurry quickly makes an exit. god knows she needs to, after making a scene like that. leaving behind a partially-glacial ship as she and her pokemon re-board her steelix, her golem magnetizes back into place once more, and the steelix takes off.

her team's back into business, shooting down any bogey that shows up. her golem uses smack down from its station as she rounds around the ship, aiming at one of the approaching buzzwoles as she makes headway towards the seaside town, onto the next part of her attack.

at this rate, mcflurry's just going forward without any motivation. she just wants to shoot more things down, freeze them, hurt them.

(her steelix reapplies its magnet rise, wanting to stay airborne over the ocean.)

but as she approaches seaside town, she spots the newest threat. — and the moment she touches ground, she immediately orders her steelix to dip beneath the roofline.

yeah, no. mcflurry's gonna busy herself with roaming across the streets, and freezing-slash-crushing any megalopans in her way. fuck that. (her pokemon make quick work of her commands.)

the sight of people turning into fucking pulp juice awakens something in mcflurry she didn't know she had. not really any courage, or fear, or anger. nothing so specific.

nah. she felt justification, now. she never did before, not like this. these masked things weren't people anymore.

the sight of pirates boarding the ship just gave her more fuel to that particular fire.

"i, i, i — let's mcfucking go, th-then. i'm gonna, i'm gonna mcmurder y'all!"

as mcflurry's face scrunched up in xenophobic hate, she started barking out orders she never would have barked before.

in a moment, the airborne steelix suddenly swoops down like a chinese dragon, using its immense speed and huge mouth to prey on megalopans with its thunder fang. it doesn't swallow — it spits any mangled corpses it gets out at other megalopans.

her alolan golem rolls out, using discharge to indiscriminately fry anything and anyone near and including the boarding pirates. in the meantime, the blizzard continues, the whiteout from the abomasnow and the glalie's efforts getting worse.

morality's pretty frail, all things considered.
