Erin turns to her gengar, taking advantage of a short pause where the call center operator asks her a question, mouthing an order to "Follow him." Having learned to read his trainer's mannerisms rather than the words she voices, the gengar follows without question. [break][break] Before pulling away from the scene, Erin makes the conscious decision of crouching down beside one of the kids. "What is your name?" While she's there, she reaches out and slides their bags onto her back. [break][break] The action is so smooth they wouldn't notice it, no doubt caught up in their understandable defiance. [break][break] "What do you care?" [break][break] Erin shrugs. "Good. Remember it. The nurses will ask." [break][break] And then she's gone, too. Gone to catch up to Fisher and deal with her other problem. Problems, in plural, she notes while more questions are directed to her porygon2 regarding the fake camera footage she's been planting. They'd have to expand those efforts to whatever other surveillance cameras Fisher managed to catch the attention of. [break][break] Even disregarding everything else he'd done until now, the words he spouts now are enough affront for Erin to want to yell at him. Her voice is instead calm. Icy. A tone she reserves only for people she's truly angry with. She takes one step forward, the menace oozing out from her gengar's body if not from Erin's expression. [break][break] "No. It's not 'mission accomplished'. You did not follow the plan. You did not listen to my orders. Your behavior has been unacceptable, and your performance, poor." She sighs, handing him the bags she's picked up, for him to at least carry. "When you report back to HQ, I want you passing through induction again."[break][break] She turns on her heel, clearly with a direction different than HQ in mind. "That's all." |
