With words leaving exasperated lips, the man uttering then cast an obligatory glance towards the source of such a claim. Azure hues lingered upon the cantankerous little beast as he continued to frolick to and fro, only shifting away and towards the woman accompanying him as he sprung to life and sprinted off into the clearing once more.[break][break]

”Honestly? I trust Drakon way more in nature than anywhere else…” he mused with a murmur, quirking his lip and breathing a soft sigh as his gaze idly trailed after the two dragons once more. ”Hasn’t really his flying capabilities—thankfully—but he’s…had a few close calls in a few intersections.[break][break]

He clicked his tongue, furrowing his brows lightly.[break][break]

”You’d figure a stubby little guy couldn't possibly run too fast and too far. …You’d be veeeery wrong...”[break][break]

ah yes, memories. reminds her of her garchomp when he was still a little gible, so yes, she can imagine how fast and far a stubby little dragon can run. just recalling those old days brings a small smile to her lips, the memory was certainly vivid. "i've found the opposite to be true.." she tucks a lock of gold behind her ear, and in the corner of her eye she watches a trevenant wandering through. [break][break]

after some subtle deliberation, she pulls a pokeball from her bag to throw at the walking tree pokemon, before turning her attention back to calix, here. "i can rarely trust apatite to be well behaved in the house.." she sighs, briefly turning her gaze to the little bagon, who seemed to be having the time of his life. "he's nearly broken.. far too many things" she narrows her eyes "including the walls.."

”Oh, man, I know the feel…”[break][break]

Though the words were spoken with exasperation, an amused bout of laughter hadn’t been without them. His eyes strayed towards the next few Pokemon to begin roaming the area before eventually settling back upon the two dragons that scrambled off, lingering upon the more familiar of the two as a hum escaped his lips.[break][break]

”Just be glad the little guy doesn’t have a super big mouth~.” He lifted a hand, pointing directly at his own little tyke before immediately gesturing towards the first gravestone that had fallen victim to the beast’s maw. ”That little guy? He could open his damn mouth, and you’d think you were looking into a long, lost void. It’s honestly both funny and terrifying, sometimes~.”[break][break]

"that.. does sound terrifying." a shudder runs up her spine, and she can swear that she just felt a chill. imagine having that kind of jaw running around the house; it'll probably make huge, maw-shaped bites in her couches if the little guy was teething. [break][break]

"i would say that the worst that apatite has done was.. make dents in the wall" and holes, many holes. with his hard, rock-like head he tries to make a point with the tyrunt, tucking his head in before running towards a gravestone and ramming against it - only to immediately bounce off, and started whining softly as his little, stubby arms try to hold the part he hit (because stone seemed to be a bit too hard for him). "apa--" she starts, before sighing softly, a small, defeated smile to her lips "... as you can see, then he cries when he can't ram into it because it hurt him~.."

As much as he loved the little runt, he would’ve been a fool to even say that he was never a handful. Anyone would know the falsity of such an audacious claim with just so much of a glance, but even then, the little beast of a drake held a special place in his heart.[break][break]

Even if his house was occasionally littered with bite marks.[break]

Needless to say, the first time was already bad enough, but he felt an immediate sense of panic upon noting another source of movement within the outliers of his peripheral. A swift glance had been all that was needed for him to realize that the source of such hadn’t been Pokemon (although he did see the next group beginning to cross through, as well), but rather, a couple more people who seemed to drop by with the intent to pay their own respects.[break][break]

His lips pulled back into an immediate, slightly panicked expression as he reached for a familiar Pokeball.[break][break]

”Okay, yeah, speaking of that—!” he called out hastily, pointing the capsule towards the dinosaur as he ran en route to another gravestone. Before he could break closer vicinity, the man pressed the button, promptly warping the creature back into his confinements posthaste. He clasped both hands over the device as it began to rustle in his grasp. ”Geez—... It’s one thing to embarrass me alone, buddy, but I can’t have ya doin’ that in front of other people…”[break][break]

He sighed, glancing towards the woman with an apologetic smile.[break][break]

”I think I should actually take this guy back. Or, like…somewhere where he won’t disrespect hundreds of dead people.”[break][break]

it seems as though their grave defiling has caught the attention of a few ghost pokemon, who rise from the shadows with their morbid curiosity. daphne doesn't notice at first, as her bagon is more occupied with trying to.. probably compete with the tyrunt to see who could do the most damage. it's what it looks like, at least. [break][break]

she intends to pull out her pokeball, until she spot the swirling figure of a SPIRITOMB in the corner of her eye. while she doesn't intend to pay it too much attention, the swirls of green in it's purple body were.. oddly alluring. like she could just stare at it, all d--[break][break]

a brief HYPNOSIS is broken at the voice of a man, which prompts a quick "o-oh, yes..!" from her, as she collect herself, and quickly throws a pokeball at the ghost pokemon. it might cause trouble in the future. "goodness, i--" she stammers, slightly. it thankfully doesn't extend to her bagon's pokeball when she reaches to recall him. "i apologize for taking your time and.." a hue of rose red rises to her cheeks ".. th-thank you very much, again, for helping me at the bar that night."

Laughing, he shook his head in amused dismissal.[break][break]

”Don’t mind it, really~,” he hummed, sparing a glance towards the ghost before it phased into the capsule thrown at it. ”Honestly, I’m glad it was me. If it wasn’t, it could’ve ended up a bit worse…”[break][break]

He would’ve said more, if not for the ongoing rustling beneath his palm.[break]
He grinned in equal parts wryness and amusement, snapping his gaze down towards the Pokeball.[break][break]

Then, with a sigh, he began to shift a few paces towards the path closest to them, lifting his gaze and offering a quick, ”Happy to help, though~!” in what he intended to be passing as he started his way away.[break][break]

He eyed her for a moment longer before broadening his smile slightly, nodding towards her before fully turning around.[break][break]

”...If you ever change your mind, though, you know where my number’s at~.”[break][break]
