Vasi was born and raised in Slateport city where his parents were middle class and did their best to support him, when he turned of age. Vasi made his way to Twinleaf to get his first pokemon, for several years Vasi made his journey around Hoenn collecting badges and even the occasional ribbon. Though he only got so far in contests, Vasi did indeed get all eight badges and even tried to go against the Elite 4. Sadly he didn't do as well as he liked and ended up doing some travel for a time, going to other regions and trying to become stronger and even gaining a few badges here and there. And although he always meant to go back to Hoenn in order to finally finish what he'd started, this all came to a halt when he met a girl named Carrie in his travels.[break][break]

It wasn't long before the trainer and the contest girl started becoming more then traveling companions and truly started dating, all this eventually lead to marriage and their first child. Leaving childhood and becoming adults made Vasi and Carrie realize they needed to find a place to settle down and decided on Fallarbor Town in Vasi's native Hoenn. With Carrie getting a job at the contest hall there and Vasi switching between stay at home father and consultant to the battle tent which was also present, this was their home and the two children they ended up raising there. Though things got strange when crazy washed over the region, Vasi and his family were mostly okay since most things didn't come out their way often. [break][break]

Though he did become enraged at hearing the destruction of his hometown, wanting to almost go over and help out but was talked out of it by his wife. And they remained within their little town until something happened to the nearby cave system, Vasi's kids were just old enough to start their journey and he'd been helping them get ready and even got them both pokemon. While the two of them were out on the town, they were recruited to go digging for stuff in the cave system that they knew so well. Eventually Carrie found out and went after them, as all three were within the deeper parts of the cave. A collapse occurred and killed his whole family along with the pokemon he'd given them for protection, in his grief Vasi destroyed a small station the company behind it had made though he was never caught.[break][break]

It took time for Vasi to heal, even though he knew he never would but Vasi decided to get back into shape and back into pokemon. This took a little time to get back into things and look and feel good enough to go back out into the world, his mission was to look into all this crazy and see what he could do to help prevent such things happening to other people. He still harboured a dislike for the ones that put his family in that cave but for now he was content on simply getting back into the groove of his training days and reappear in the wider world.
