she's a newly signed-on police cadet in slateport with roots in oldale. just as any of her old acquaintances would tell you, blythe seems keen on mentioning that she's an orphan. supposedly, as she would explain, her parents died, so she was given into the custody of her godfather, an old man named fylleman. she grew up in his greenhouse, and soon came to work in it with the partner she raised from a little sprout; her florges, donmai. one fateful day, however, inspired her to join the slateport police, a role she takes with the utmost solemnity... not without a smile, of course!

blythe only joined the police after an unfortunate incident in oldale that involved a holdup, a high-speed chase, and another holdup that directly endangered both her and another officer. this didn't start her record off great. her record only got worse when her time in the academy was fraught with disciplinary action and a bunch of failure on her part. she stayed in the academy for nearly three more months than the average cadet, and her current record continues to tank. higher-ups are certainly beginning to question whether she's the right fit for this job. she's one infraction away from a desk job.

there have been reports of a pink-haired cop with some sympathy for team rocket members. though bound to her duty, blythe is really only bound to her code, which entails kindness above all else, even if that means extending it to criminals and ne'er-do-wells. she believes good exists in everyone, and she will coax it out at any opportunity, even if it entails cooperating with the enemy. some team rocket members have identified this woman as a cop that can be easily manipulated and used for nefarious means.

blythe suspects she's not actually an orphan. a letter she found in fylleman's documents all but confirms this. aside from her work as a police officer, she's always searching for more information on her missing mother and father, wherever that trail might take her. as it turns out, that trail seems to repeatedly coincide with team rocket movements. how strange.
