EDEN'S GROTTO is a minor league gym built within the vast forest sat just on the outskirts of Mauville City. built with the intent of instilling the traits of quick-thinking and adaptability, the gym offers a variety of challenges for pokemon trainers to face. it is also well-equipped with camping facilities and cabins for those who wish to experience the forest overnight or stay for the long haul.[break][break]

the current gym leader is rosmontis lune, a former assistant coordinator for the kalos youth league now setting down new roots in the hoenn region.

eden's grotto is open to people from all walks of life, no matter where their loyalties and ideals may lie. this invitation is extended especially to those who would like to seek an escape from the influences of the league and rocket alike. as such, all are welcome to find refuge in the many cabin facilities available within the gym and stay for as long as they need.[break][break]

to aid in maintaining the peace between those residing in the grotto, eden's grotto has formed a partnership with the blackwing bazaar (see below). Isaac Merlo, other members of the blackwing bazaar and staff of eden's grotto will be present to help settle disputes.[break][break]

You arrive in the middle of a forested clearing and begin to wonder if you've taken a wrong turn. Checking the map again does indeed confirm that you have arrived at your destination, so where is the gym that you're looking for?[break][break]

In the center of the clearing stands a tall tree, large and twisted as it reaches towards the skies. When you walk towards it, you realise that it is hollow, a singular rope with numerous knots hanging within. Taking a step back and getting a closer look at the treeline grants you a sneak peek at an endless web of reinforced wires, rope ladders and ziplines.[break][break]

Before you can start running about the area or lose yourself to your primal primate urges, something moves within the hollow tree and you are met with the crimson gaze of a mere child. She tilts her head at you, listening as you ask her about the gym and smiles.[break][break]

"Well, whenever you're ready, we can begin!"[break]

In this secret garden, the past doesn't matter. The gym leader goes by the name of Rosmontis Lune and she welcomes all challengers regardless of their Rocket or League identity. However, she will not condone violence, major disruptions or threats in any way. Any cutthroat or destructive behaviours shown within the gym will result in the challenger being kicked out.[break][break]

The world ain't gonna be smooth-sailing and you've probably figured that out by now! To be able to overcome all obstacles in your way, to come up with new plans when things go awry or don't work out - There are many ways to solve the same puzzle and many more methods to break through! Do you choose the rocky terrains or the flower patch with rustling bushes? Will you befriend a pokemon or two? How will your pokemon aid you in your adventures?[break][break]

At the start of the challenge, you will be provided a chance to pick pokemon from Rosmontis' team of gremlins - They may provide certain boons along your journey or perhaps, a few more problems than you might ever expect! Along the way at certain checkpoints, you will be presented with items or chances to befriend new companions to help you on your journey into the woods![break][break]

Perhaps, you are one of the unlucky few that choose to enter the forest whilst strange forces are at play? There are times where Mesprit may make a slight appearance in your challenge and choose to add a bit more spice to the obstacles you face! With tenacity and a bit of stubbornness, you might just end up facing the Lake Guardian itself.[break][break]
