Nuts and bolts loudly ejected off their hinges as containers and cargo were torn off the deck and began to hover in the air, gravitating around his Mega evolved Orbeetle like moons around a planet.

"I'm not here for you." He said... before smiling. "Well. I wasn't."

They had their VIP. He could afford to switch priorities... just this once.

At the former beast's threats, the youths expression solidified into a cold mask, swallowing down the fire raging in his chest as he raised a hand towards one of the many men responsible for scarring his childhood.

"Took the words right out of m'mouth, Westcliff." He said.

His Orbeetle's gaze fixed onto the man and his Magmar, fire blasting towards them.

"Go."

One of the cargo containers suddenly dropped between them, slamming with enough force to dent the deck beneath it as the fire blasted into its surface.

The colonel disappeared from view behind it, but his Orbeetle could be seen just fine, floating high in the air as it held its arms towards them and began to launch containers like tetris pieces, using them to entrap and separate the rocket chaff.

The only dangerous rocket there was Dorian Westcliff. The fodder could be ignored, once it was put aside.

"No. They don't need my help to get away."

The smog suddenly parted. Lava splattered against an invisible force, gravity upturned around the colonel like a barrier as he advanced, his Orbeetle hovering over him.

The deck creaked and whined as it began melt, the large structure crying out under the massive weight of cargo atop it.

The air shimmered around the colonel as he advanced, framed by cascades of dripping lava, his silhouette beginning to spill outwards as glowing pink scales began to hover in the air.

"I'm here because you are."

His gaze rolled over the Magmar and Chandelure.

His grandstanding had forced Omega to engage in a lopsided defensive battle until now. His childish desire to see the man before him as fearful as he had once been had put his pokemon at risk, and had nothing to show for it so far.

To begin with, trying to intimidate a man like Dorian Westcliff was an exercise in futility.

"... Tch. Why don't you look back on your distinguished career and take a guess?!" He snapped, raising a hand towards the man and his pokemon.

"Shadow Storm, Water Shuriken!"

The Orbeetle's eyes glowed a deep red, before a dark aura surged from within him, swirling around it before barreling outwards like a whirpool, barreling into the twin flamethrowers, the dark glimmer being slowly pushed back by the combined forces—

And then, a number of large water stars barreled into the storm, mixing together into a proper whirpool and quickly expanding outwards, swallowing the flames whole.

From the whirpool, a small shadow barreled through, the young officer's silhouette suddenly charging out and leaping at the former Beast, his knee flying towards the man face.

"Let me give you a reminder!"

"How about another, then?!" Shouted the youth, taking a swing at the larger man's chin.

Things couldn't go well for Doug forever; his luck wasn't that good.

As yet another one of Dorian's fire types took to the scene— Orbeetle's mega evolution faltered and peetered out, leaving a dizzier, much smaller beetle in its place to take the brunt of a triple assault.

Accelgor moved in quickly to try and intercept, unleashing Water shurikens— but against the sun empowered flare blitz, there was little to do as both bug types were clotheslined, sending the Orbeetle crashing through one of the cargo containers in an booming slam, and the Accelgor rag dolling across the steel deck, its body disappearing into a shadowy corner.

"Garo!" Shouted Doug as his gaze snapped over his shoulder, briefly looking away from his own opponent. "Shit!"
