“Ollie,” he hissed as he took a quick swipe of the caramel apple that was being waved in front of his face and making a face of—that was way too sweet—before remembering to actually shove a handful of popcorn at him in exchange.

“You’re hopped up on sugar, again! Have some popcorn!”

Because la idiota even made the noise for good measure! He couldn’t help but crack a smirk at that. And so, he decided to nibble on the bait a little bit.

“Here comes the airplane~” he said in the most un-Larslike voice the other would ever hear, before proceeding to shoot a few kernels of popcorn into the other man’s mouth, resisting the urge to break down into a fit of laughter afterward!

“Geez, you even made the noise to boot… that’s priceless,” he wheezed afterward, finally allowing himself the good guffaw he’d been holding back.

A few moments later, he then got an idea… an absurdly competitive idea.

“Want to hit up the game booths and see who can win the bigger prize?” he challenged his best friend.

He was going to leave it at that, for now. He then crammed a handful of popcorn into his mouth while he allowed himself to get dragged off to the first booth of the ‘challenge’: a Dugtrio Ring Toss.

Such was his luck.

“Did I say the challenge was over, though?” he continued with that same mischievous look in his eyes.

For there was no way he was going to let the other get ahead of him!

It really felt like they’d travelled back in time—back to when they were just hanging around, being idiots—him getting unexpected visits from the other (and stealing one of his Alto Marean uniforms because he wanted to) and meeting him head-on in tests of strength, stamina, and… well pretty much everything else in between!

(Don’t get him started on the test of ‘trust’, though, that one was one for the fucking ages.)

He continued to watch the other, unimpressed—

“A reasonable attempt,” he said with this calculated look on his face, before paying up and taking the hammer from the other once he was done.

Just to be on the safe side, he gave his arms a little shake, before swinging up the mallet and bringing it down!

(Sometimes, it really felt like they were in the middle of a colossal, real-life sized tug of war game.)
