persephone and the lucario slow their pace to a halt as the ground begins to shake. the thumping reverberation is methodical, and persephone gazes into the gloom to make out who would approach them. she's aware of the way prydian strains as if shackled until she gives the command to act. [break][break]

the monolith of the golett emerges from the dark, unseeing gaze fixed beyond them. the wild pokemon lumbers past them as if possessed. persephone is frozen in place, studying the glowing sigils carved into its body with interest. [break][break]

at her side, prydian springs forward, blinding persephone in a sudden burst of light from a flash cannon. the concentrated energy hits the golett square in the chest. even though persephone can't see it, she can hear the clang as the pokemon is knocked off balance. [break][break]

when her vision returns and the dust settles, prydian is standing over the golett with a strange glint in his eye. persephone bites her lip and sends out two capsules - one to return the lucario, and one to capture the golett.
