It was uncommon for stains on the canvas of the mother goddess like this one to be deemed preservable, especially due to its run-down nature and tide-kissed dilapidation. But what was said by the processes of time was indeed said, indeed able to protect such things; at least protection was a two-way street in Sea Mauville, able to give so many ocean dwellers homes between their extensive journeys. That's how Oracelies wished to see it, slipping off the back of her Gyarados to enter through a crack in the bottom.[break][break]

Her tinier aquatic companions accompanied her inside, where the groans with each shift in the waves could be heard tenfold. Surfacing on the inside, there was just as much rust as one would expect- and rumors of ghosts too, though with each passing moment, she feared them less and less. To have power over a witch of the mother goddess in her home territory was a reality she felt unable to acknowledge.[break][break]

All Oracelies could do now was continue on her way, having faith in the goddess that crashed on the side of the vessel.

The depths of the partially sunken vessel creaked and churned with each step she took further in, slowly establishing herself into the lifeforms that coated the walls. Corals and barnacles rested where holes in the floors led into the waters below, a familiar sight to say the least. Sulking down to pick up fragments of discarded barbs of a Mareanie embedded in kelp, Oracelies placed them in her woven knapsack, adding to her collection of deep-sea treasures. Offerings back to the one that provided such beautiful things, most of which ordinary folk would consider to be trash.[break][break]

A startled Poliwhirl dipped into one of the openings that released into the surrounding sea. If only it knew that it had no reason to be afraid- she would never hurt a wild beast of the great one, for she saw them as extensions of the spirit. Scooping up her Corsola and Staryu into her arms, she continued to slowly walk deeper into the wreckage.

For being such a stain of manmade failure on the canvas of the ocean, the mother goddess always had her way in the currents that swept under the waves, being that she was able to prosper in the dark, creaking crevices of the vessel. It was always a brilliant idea to think of, just how nature was able to prevail against all odds; it was what brought her to believe that when the world would come to an end, the sea would crash upon the landscape and swallow the countries whole, allowing the spirits of the sea to prosper for the rest of eternity.[break][break]

That was quite the peaceful thought amidst the gale, as so many sought devastation to the natural order in the name of their greed. Trilling within her grasp, the two small water types trilled as they spotted a wild Greninja swimming out of one of the cracked windows of the ship. Oracelies would have tried to invite it to join the coven of her own, but it was just too fast, preoccupied with a wish to make a meal and continue the oceanic food chain. To feed its young, no doubt.

Continuing into the creaking floorboards of the ship and what lined them, Oracelies noticed that at the end of the call was a familiar glow- a glow that was unlike anything other than a special kind of coral feasted on by bioluminescent organisms, too microscopic to catch a glimpse of. Approaching with her two little ones of the ocean, she noticed that inside was a feasting Mareanie upon a pile of severed Corsola spines. Once the three had entered, its fierce eyes met the pink water type and wished for it to become nothing but its next meal, salivating.[break][break]

The sea, the extension of the great one, and her energies were just as soothing as they could be rough and unpredictable. Launching toward the Corsola with intent to kill, the Mareanie inflicted a bite, latching onto its side. But the two were quick to try to protect one another; firing a series of SWIFT stars and ANCIENT POWER imbued rocks at the toxic pokemon, it was able to release and quiver due to the combined efforts. The sea witch watched this unfold with her heartbeat pulsating faster in her chest, not of worry, but of a sheer exhibition of the relentless nature of the natural order.[break][break]

But she refused to let anything harm her gifts bestowed unto her. Throwing a pokeball at the Mareanie, one of a brilliant azure, she awaited for it to cease its ticking. Perhaps it would be easy to train, and if she were lucky, would be okay with only being fed organically severed protrusions of coral.
