Upon receiving a distress call, Thomas raced to the scene. A cargo freighter traveling Hoenn's Water Routes was calling for an evacuation. They were caught up in a particularly nasty storm.

Though this was a job better left for the Rangers, Thomas was still the closest person, and therefore took it upon himself to aid in the evacuation.

The distress call didn't prepare him enough for the reality of it.

Kyogre was on a rampage, without skyler dross in sight. What was going on?

Without time to dwell on it, Thomas, riding on the back of his faithful Hydreigon, raced over to the scene. Accompanying the former member of the Elite Four was a pack of dragons, including a Roaring Moon. The group worked to gather the crew of the ship, evacuating them to safety as quickly as they could muster.

Stupid Skyler. Stupid Kyogre. Stupid fishes and fish lovers. Not only had that woman ignored her for so long after leading her on, not only had she stolen the limelight by becoming a stupid avatar, but now she had apparently lost it, too?

Ugh. Ugh! She’d always known it. But being right didn’t do her much good now. Especially not with that stupid fish doing stupid fish things. Then again, being out here was stupid, too. The best thing she could have done would have been to just stay away from it all, far inland and hope it did not flood the whole region. Instead, she was out here, ontop of her Aegislash.

First, she had just investigated the scene, feeling something familiar about that primal power she had once witnessed up close, from mere feet away. Back then, it had made her feel impotent. Even now, she knew that she could not do much if that stupid fish even properly acknowledged her.

But that did not mean she wouldn’t do a thing. After all, she was here now and she could do some things. Like calling out her XXL-sized Jellicent to the waters and ordering it to stabilize a ship that was being thrown about by the waves. And no, not to save people. Well, at least not mostly for that. Honestly, she did not much know why. Maybe she just wanted to spite that stupid fish and everything she projected onto it. Maybe she actually wanted to help. Violet did not know. But she weathered the rain and stormy winds regardless. Because she could do that, if nothing else.

Thomas caught an unlikely break, when something stabilized the ship. Though he didn't know who or what was doing it, the Kalosian capitalized on the opening it provided him, aiding and ushering as many crew members onto his dragons as they could carry, before having them fly off to safety.

Despite the opening, Thomas was in no less of a rush to get to the crew. He didn't know how long the stability would last, and he wasn't too keen on being on the ship when it could no longer hold. And if this somehow pissed off Kyogre, he did not want the crew to have to suffer its wrath.

Though Thomas couldn't help but ask, who, or what, was stabilizing the ship?

Ah, good. Someone was doing the actual human-to-human part of the humanitarianism at play here. Truth be told, she had no interest of dealing with panicking people right now. Hence, she was content to have her Jellicent stabilize the boat for the time being.

Well, she was also flying relatively low over the churning waters, just out of reach of trouble but close enough to go and help if really needed. Vio did hope that she would not find anyone though. Not out of callousness, no, but she only had some wilderness rescue training from her ranger-prep days. The whole sea-rescue thing was definitely beyond her capabilities, she feared. This was not the kind of incident where she wanted to learn that on the job, really.

Rather than remaining on the back of Kalameet, Thomas gave up his spot, to get one last member of the crew a quicker evacuation. "Kalameet, guide the others to the drop off! I'll keep the others safe, til you all come back for the next round!", Thomas called out to the Hydreigon. Kalameet looked shocked, but ultimately obeyed, leading the charge back to the rescue ship just outside of the storm.

"They'll be back!", Thomas told the remainder of the crew. "Just hang tight, and find something to hold onto! I don't know how much longer the ship's gonna stay stable!", he'd warn them.

As Thomas looked around, he caught the glimpse of someone riding on an Aegislash. Given the chaotic conditions, he couldn't make out much more than that. Still, he couldn't help but wonder if they were the reason the ship was stabilized.
