priam finds himself on the beach after separating from THEO BECKETT earlier. the underboss said something about needing to check on other parts of the island, and that priam himself is free to explore in the mean time.

it sucks though. without any direction, priam is lost on what to do more that earlier. there were no race obstacles to clear, or fights to be done.

he looks around for trouble instead. interdream mist was supposed to pop out from nowhere as long as they're in the island, but what he finds instead is another person of interest.

"hey!" priam shouts as he spots remiel's figure from the sea. "ya ain't supposed to be here!"

The exiled royal descends from the skies upon a SWANNA, who gracefully lands on the sea after they spot someone on the beach. It screeches as he turns around to its side. Scrutinizing the individual there with a sharp glare, Remiel begins to sense something familiar about him.[break][break]

"I could say the same for you. This beach is restricted, and this island isn't exactly receiving tourists." He adds, crossing his arms as he tries to discern who this man is. "So that must mean you're with TEAM ROCKET."[break][break]

he never attended school anyways, so some spelling of words that aren't commonly used in his line of work weren't going to be right every time.

"but good catch!" priam throws out his pokemon. "now we duel!"

a braviary appears on the field, the very same one marred by death incarnate itself. if the swanna is already marked for death, then it's only the pokemon's duty to get it done.

"of course!" priam doesn't know if he's right. "i'm the one and only! the man, the myth, the legend!"

the show of avatar power gets priam worried enough to get another pokemon out in the field. a forretress joins the fight.

his braviary brews up a hurricane as it gets pelted by the bubble beam by the other bird, all while his forretress sets up spikes on the field, which just gets sucked up by the tornado from the braviary's move.

"and i know you too!" he shouts back.

it was a given. there was a big bounty on his head from the rocket side of things, and even then, recent news about galar has brought up the previous galarian ambassador's name a few times too many.

The man thought very highly of himself, that much was for certain. Who had he known in Team Rocket that was like that? Plenty of people. Was he losing his memory? Was he getting old? Or had this man simply not left a very strong impression on him?[break][break]

As soon as another Pokémon is summoned to the fray, the royal tosses his Appletun into the sky before activating the MEGA BRACELET on his right hand. It MEGA EVOLVES afterward, landing on the sand below a thud. The SPIKES that might have injured it otherwise are sucked away by the wind.[break][break]

"Tell me: is there a worthwhile reward to be had for killing me? Or is Walsh promising a pat on the head for his loyal little dog?" He inquires, commanding his Mega Appletun to ROLLOUT towards the Forretress while his Swanna tumbles around in the HURRICANE, somehow managing to launch an AIR SLASH at the Braviary during.[break][break]

glory is nice after all.

an air slash angers the braviary, causing it to release its oblivion wing at the bird. in the midst of the chaos, the forretress explodes the moment that the appletun hits it.

"oh, shit."

the explosion has disturbed the ground, causing a leak from the terastral tunnels underneath to release interdream mist to the battlefield.

priam recalls his pokemon back to its ball as it gauges remiel's next move, casually letting a bead of sweat roll down his temple.

Unfortunately, Radagast rolls back to Remiel on the brink of fainting after devolving. He leans down to scoop the Appletun up into his arms.[break][break]

His Swanna in the meantime? The exiled royal turns just in time to see it falling from the sky in a shower of feathers. It has been KILLED, and he was sure the Braviary would turn its sights on them next. "OBLIVION WING. Interesting move for a Braviary." He nonchalantly remarks.[break][break]

Things were not starting to look good here. This challenger was tougher than he thought. It might be best to retreat for now, he thought to himself.[break][break]

"is that what it's called?" he asks. "i didn't know."

for the longest time, he just thought it's a special hyper beam that the artificial shadow pokemon machine gave his pokemon. it didn't get any actually cool abilities, but it did get that one attack.

as roaring moons start to pour out of the mist to ruin the party, priam prepares to leave with one final note.

"and it's not a waste! that's what makes it not boring!"

priam takes off with his braviary, leaving the field. they can't have a proper fight with these paradox pokemon in the way.

"next time!" he shouts as he gets up in the air. "when there's no disturbance around!"

The presence of the Roaring Moon provides just the escape Remiel needs. Though the man didn’t need to know he was planning on fleeing anyway. He wasn’t one to knowingly feed pride, after all.[break][break]

Not caring to respond to the odd individual, Remiel simply watches as he mounts his Braviary and flies off. Afterward, he realizes his Appletun has finally FAINTED in his arms. He sighs and returns it to the safety of its Luxury Ball.[break][break]

Only then does the royal summon a DRAGAPULT to PHANTOM FORCE away and report to his superiors.[break][break]
