"Almost forgot you were joining the fun Ed. Crazy I haven't run into ya till now." He remembers the man from when they met during their little break from all the fighting. With all the fun he was having it almost felt a lifetime ago but now it seems like fate brought them together again. Crazy how things like that work out. "Hope you're ready for us though. We've been giving a hundred and ten percent all day, right buddy?"

The Urshifu shares a glance between the two men and lets out an affirming grunt as he takes his place on the field and drops into his stance immediately. With a well earned chance to catch his breath in the middle of all the fighting he felt renewed, ready to take on another dozen or so opponents before the tournament's end if he has to. He was here to prove his strength after all.

Eddie strolled into the arena with a practiced swagger and a toothy grin. Beau trotted on ahead of him, his tails swishing back and forth with impatient agitation. Stopping rather deliberately at his place near the edge of the arena, Eddie cracked his knuckles and rolled his shoulders. This would likely be his last match of the tournament, and to have the treat of squaring off against these two? Well, this would just be the cherry on top, [break][break]

“Ready as hell! Can't wait to see what the bear can do!” Eddie bellowed with delight. [break][break]

As the Urshifu took his position on the field and dropped into a fighting stance, the Tauros opposite of him glowered back with fierce determination. The bull lowed in challenge, snorting and stamping, eager to put his opponent's might to the test.[break][break]

Domon wasted no time in making the first move of the fight once he laid eyes upon the bull. With hands clasped together a sphere full of his fighting spirit emerged and shot out of his hands like a bullet. "Looks like someone's fired up already!" Be it the atmosphere or maybe a hidden lust that this tournament brought out the bear was ready for a fight and his aura sphere was one way to show it.

"Better hope your partner can keep up with mine, he's way more special than the average one of these for a reason!" They hadn't had the chance to use their "trump card" as the battles were very explosive and quick in this tournament but Kaz liked to think that worked in their favor. It was an ace up their sleeve that not many needed to know about and spread around inviting more challenges to tire them out.

Ranged moves had proven to be a real pain to deal with over the course of the tournament. The punch that a well-timed AURA SPHERE could pack was something Eddie and Beau were all too familiar with. [break][break]

So, if the bull didn't have the means to fight at range, then he'd just have to force the bear into a melee. Charging into the fray, Beau kicked up the momentum by launching himself into an AQUA JET; if he angled his stride to the side just so, he'd be able to strike the Urshifu without losing any speed. With any luck, he'd be able to land his attack and dodge the orb of energy hurtling towards him in one fell swoop, [break][break]

“You better believe it!” Eddie grinned. Maybe Beau wasn't some kind of legendary or mythical creature, but he was plenty special to his trainer. Eddie was sure that the bull could keep up with the best of them.[break][break]

Not many could dodge an aura sphere so seeing the hulking bull jet around it in a stream of water was something else. It lit a fire in Domon's stomach and brought a smile to Kaz's face. This guy sure had some good instincts and so did his Pokemon, that was good, it meant that they were probably in for a good fight. "If you think getting in close will work ya got another thing coming!"

The Urshifu may not have the powers of a legendary but he knew that his strength was something else and aimed to prove it as he watched the bull charge right at him. With open palms he caught the charge with his hands, the force still dealing a fair bit of damage to him but now the bull was right in front of him. Right where many found themselves in trouble as Domon clenched his fist and delivered a wicked blow right into the snout of the bull.

Now things were really getting interesting! Having a foe that could strike back with such force in a face-to-face brawl was equal parts exhilarating and concerning. At such close proximity, it'd be impossible to dodge the WICKED BLOW coming Beau's way; the only thing he could do was meet the attack head-on. [break][break]

Beau struck back with a CLOSE COMBAT, unguarded from the Urshifu's strike, but throwing hundreds of pounds of force behind slamming himself headfirst into the bear's body. The bull wasn't going to go down without a fight.[break][break]

If Domon was any other Pokemon he would mostly likely had been sent flying by the bull's charge. Instead he did what that old saying said, take the bull by the horns or something like that. While his grip was strong and true the same couldn't be said for his feet. They were almost lifted off the ground yet the scars the nails on them left in the dirt as he was pushed back said otherwise. He was still on the ground where it was safe, safe as can be given his opponent.

It just gave him an excuse to be up close and personal with the bull as he reared his head back. Eyes kept their glare on the Tauros as he launched his iron head forward like a bullet. Headbutts were always a hail mary in a fight so pulling one out this early was asking for fighting with a disadvantage, but Domon didn't care. He wanted a fight and nothing was off limits in a good one.

The thrill of grappling at close quarters was nothing short of exhilarating, even as the WICKED BLOW struck hard and the Urshifu refused to be moved by the bout of CLOSE COMBAT. Even the anticipation in witnessing Domon gearing up for his IRON HEAD attack sent a surge of excitement through man and bull that none of the other battles of the tournament had offered. This was pure, unbridled, combat; it was a privilege to fight in such close proximity, to leer straight into your opponents eyes, to grit your teeth and strike back with unbridled savagery. Such was the nature of the violent, head-butting attack from Domon, a double-edged sword of ferocity. [break][break]

So who would Beau be if he didn't respond in kind? Snorting and huffing with effort, he tried to surge forward, head-first, with all the strength of a RAGING BULL to clash with Domon's IRON HEAD. Neither he nor Eddie were certain if he could break the bears iron grip or overcome the force of his attack, but that was no reason not to try. [break][break]

The bull's continued charge finally found what it was looking for; Domon flying through the air as it was knocked off his feet. Kaz couldn't help but laugh as he watched his partner bounce against the ground with heavy grunts. Maybe it was their opponents own ferocity spilling out, the look on Eddie's face, but he was enjoying himself once again.

He was always enjoying himself in this tournament but this felt like a breath of fresh air.

Did he feel it too? The surge of excitement for battle? As the Urshifu got to his feet he was smiling as he watched the bull. Gathering up energy and his spirit back into his hands he let loose another aura sphere at the Tauros. While it was a fun opponent he'd rather not try and get flung onto his back a second time.

The bull lowed in triumph as the bear was finally knocked back. Eddie found himself grinning ear-to-ear without realizing it, beaming with self-indulgent delight as he watched the spectacle. He was sure that if Beau were capable of smiling with his own bovine features, he'd be wearing a similarly jubilant expression. [break][break]

As Domon righted himself, out came another AURA SPHERE whirling Beau's way. The pugnacious back and forth of before repeated itself, like the well-timed steps of a dance; rearing back and slamming his hooves into the ground, Beau launched himself back at the Urshifu with another AQUA JET. No reason not to, since it worked so well the first time. [break][break]

Domon's eyes go wide as he watches the bull suddenly charge in a cloak of water that comes for him. He's faintly familiar with the move it uses yet his mind forgets for a moment the speed it gives the user and he's soon drenched in water. Yet again he grips the bull by the horns and keeps his feet planted in the dirt and mud that puddles beneath him. It lets the bull push him back even more as his feet can't get a solid group.

"Hell yeah! Now this is what I call a fight! C'mon Domon wrassle that cow!" His excitement is brought out in words as Kaz lets out a chuckle. "Damn Ed that one's a hell of a fighter! We gotta do this again sometime!" While Kaz brings the pleasure Domon brings the pain as he aims a drain punch right into the bull's head to daze it and perhaps regain some energy from this fight.

The aquatic strike wasn't enough to do any damage, and the bull found himself caught in another grapple with the bear. It was a particularly precarious position to be in as both sets of feet began to give way to the wet earth forming beneath them. Beau pushed, and pushed, and pushed; drawing in moisture from the atmosphere, swathing his onyx hide in arm-like ribbons of water, he put every last bit of muscle and prowess into a WAVE CRASH. If he could strike before Domon's hit could land, this match would be in the bag. [break][break]

“Ya got this Beau!” Eddie bellowed with delight from the other side of the arena, “I believe in you!” [break][break]

He probably looked like a god damn kid on Christmas, practically trembling with excitement to see how the battle would end, all bright eyes and raucous calling. Win or lose, this was certainly one of his favorite matches to date, [break][break]

“You're damn right we do! I'm gonna hafta see what the rest of your team can do!”[break][break]

He wasn't planning on letting go anytime soon but the way the bull continued to charge despite the bear putting all his strength into restraining it was amazing to say the least. Still his strength had a limit and it was close to reaching it. This fight would need to end soon and while he really wanted to be the victor of it the Urshifu wasn't sure if that was going to be the case. In that case he needed a gamble and hope for the best, so he waited to detect the right moment.

When he found that moment Domon let go of the bull, or rather he was going to as he pushed himself off the ground before his feet could slip under him. Vaulting over the bull he let go of its horns so that he could fall backwards into the mud and scrambled to get back onto his feet. His body stung all over, mud caked his fur, he looked like total shit. Still he stood tall with his hands raised up in solid fists and let out a roar for the bull to come at him one more time.

Domon's athletic prowess was something to behold as he leapt over Beau's back. Even if the landing wasn't graceful, his dexterity in escaping the bull's horns was something to be commended. It was kind of a shame that the battle was nearly over. [break][break]

As if to boast his own dexterous capabilities, Beau snorted, vaulting forward through the mud to lunge at the bear, rearing back to catch Domon with his forelegs. It almost mirrored the Urshifu's fists-up stance, though with the force behind the impending DOUBLE KICK headed his way, it was now just a matter of who would get the final punch in.[break][break]
