To be honest, Ollie didn't know much about the DRK Triad. He only knew enough from the retcon reports that he received from the Rangers, and the public information that was already available in the League. But ever since his conversations with freya morningstar and Yuina Higashi both, he knew that it was something that he ought to pay more attention to.

[break][break] 'Watch your back,' The Visionary (Naomi Sato) had said, during the battle on that Mirage Island. She had warned about the DRK Triad too. Had she known one of the Rangers would've been reached out to then?

[break][break] Ollie had no idea. Whatever it was, it made his stomach turn at the thought.

[break][break] He sighed, peering out at the large building ahead of them. Apparently, these were one of the outposts that one of their recon groups had labeled as a DRK Triad base. Ollie hadn't brought anyone with him this time, not trusting someone else to either attack or burn down the facility like @epicbugcatcher. To be honest, he didn't even know what annalise henderson would do — if she hated them too, as much as she hated Rocket, it wouldn't give Ollie the chance to get the information he needed to get.

[break][break] A sudden rustle behind him alerted him, and the brunette whipped his head back.

[break][break] "Who's that?" he hissed, hand at his pokebelt, ready to attack.

He attribute's Ollie's presence here to bad luck — all other explanations, up to and including the League tracking him, tossed aside by the clear surprise in the other man's voice.

He, of course, didn't know Ollie — had never even spoken to him, even in passing. But, he knew his sister.

King had spent a great deal of time studying Eva Morales, in the process of turning her against MATIAS SILPH. In the end it hadn't worked out the way he planned, but so long as another influential figure turned away from the earth-weilding avatar, he was satisfied.

Still, in the process of accomplishing that, he'd beaten the woman to unconsciousness. If Ollie could recognize him — he'd be in for a doozy.

Stepping out from behind a crevice, King raises his hands ever-so slightly. It was enough to speak to the intention of peace, but not so much as to leave him defenseless. Xen, his Lucario, walks in his shadow. His ability to SENSE AURAS had clued King into Ollie's presence here at all, but arceus-damned puddle of PARADOX JUICES had revealed him earlier than he'd like.

Luckily for KING WAYLAND, Ollie didn't recognize him. For better or for worse, despite the fact that both Morales siblings were close beyond compare, there were a great many secrets that Eva Morales kept from ollie morales.

"Prince?" He blinks, then his lips warp into a warm smile, the kind of smile that ollie morales is known to give everyone that he meets. "Nice ta meet 'cha, then. My name's Ollie!"

[break][break] He doesn't elaborate. One, because he's not someone who really likes bragging about titles and things, and two, because anyone who ought to know his full name probably already does by giving his first.

[break][break] "It's a Drk Triad outpost," he explains, glancing back at him. "You heard of those before?"

[break][break] Ollie knows that some of it is public information, but he's not exactly sure how much. After all, he didn't know much about them before he took his position.

It was a lie, of course — who, beside those rural country bumpkins, wouldn't know of the DRK Triad? Then again, he only knew of the group on a surface level, having ran into them as a byproduct of his deal with parker jones as he protected Naomi Sato.

He shifts the narrative again, always poking and prodding, never giving him enough time to scrutinize.
