Neon followed eagerly behind the Underboss. It's not every day Theo took him out on excursions. Normally it was Neon bringing back his reports and going over them, if The oeven needed it. The tera crystal glow merges with his alreayd blue suit. He arefully takes the phone and looks over the photo, zooming in and upping the vibrancy of the screen. "Distortions, sure, but this one's a bit weirder." he said staring at the pic.

"It's noticeable if you stare at it for a while, most of the distortions I saw were here and gone quickly. But I can run a scan of the footage I have and compare to this." he added before handing back the phone.

"You think Giratina's proxy is on the move?" he asked, LED expression reflecting Neon's own as he raised his eyebrows at the man.

"You've seen entrances to the Distortion World?" His curiosity is immediately piqued, excitedly holding back anymore outbursts as the Underboss spoke. The idea that Giratina's last chosen was gone, either dead or abandoned somewhere was excited. Because things that had vessels, proxies, were sure to seek them out again. There's simply things nature personified can't do without a human.

"I'm not too familiar with Giratina's history in Hoenn, but I know some of its myths. Did Katherine Fairburne harbor a particular goal? It wasn't often she brought the thing out, relying instead on other pokemon. At least what I remember form the Necrozma attack on Sootopolis." Perhaps her actions could elucidate what Giratina's aim was.

"I wonder if it's hiding. After all, Dialga and Palkia were taken by Arceus and the DRK Triad right? Without a connection tethering it to our world maybe it's hiding... Then again, perhaps I should reconvene with CERBERUS about her. She was one of our main targets of study after all." Though, Neon had been far more focused on the gathering of intel and now his E4 challenge. Siphoning information off public matches as well as his own.

"I'll keep my eyes open then. Maybe these distortions have a different energy signature we can track. Or some kind of pattern of appearance." After all, Giratina was probably opening them up itself. Maybe trying to drag something back from their world into its own.

"Lucky for you, Sinnoh's myths happen to be my specialty." His interest with Kyurem and the balance dragons notwithstanding. At the mention of the expedition, he looked back up at his Underboss excitedly. "Oh, this is even more top priority than I thought." he said, already beginning to pull out his tablet to begin making notes. "I'll start work right away." he assured his superior.

"Project Infinity can adjust to support these new priorities." he added, assuring his boss the usefulness of his pet project.

"Lucky for us, kyurem's last appearance in our dimension allowed me to harvest League data that would've been otherwise difficult to acquire. We can move forward into the next phase as needed however I would recommend to continue gathering data on League avatars and legendaries. The bigger my sample size the better. My assistant Rika already helped me categorize the results of that battle." he explained. Though, he was sure some of his team members could make somewhat accurate predictions. Those aligned with Rocket would be helpful. Especially with the amount of support behind PROJECT INFINITY, he was sure he could get access to those more reclusive avatars if he asked politely ( and also informed THEO BECKETT and declan walsh of it in advance ). A little bit. Just enough to grease the wheels of progress.

"That's good actually! I'd pivoted a bit to do my research in Area Zero. Myself and howard slayte have been pushing hard on exploring this place." he said rather proudly. Nobody had agreed to come out there with him as quickly as the Admin had.

"Phase 1 was all about data gathering. On energy signatures and legendary pokemon sure, but also more practical things. Stealing from their megastone mines. Probing League personnel, attacking hard or soft targets, antagonizing the E4 or the gym leaders. The more battle data we can extract, the better we can train our SPECTRA corps." he said, as he looked down at his tablet pulling up his notes on the next phase of INFINITY.

"Phase 2 is refinement of our tech. Making it more accurate in distinguishing different key signatures. Being able to identify Articuno from Moltres. Work on something we can make more durable. Something that can withstand extreme environments." he pulled up plans for what look liked a more refined version of the drones he'd once, long ago attached to various buildings near gyms for surveillance footage. "We can begin building a network and keep watch over a wider area. I had one of the few primal energy sensors before Amor Rose joined, and the range on this thing was less than a mile. If we can make something more durable with a better ranger, we can set up a tentative web of sensors down here in Area Zero and track the distortions or whatever other spikes in energy we find."

He handed over his tablet. "It's all in my proposal, but this has a little more details. I was waiting for the success of the project to kick in before pushing to pull more scientists from our ranks."

"Can do. I needed to check in on Regice again anyways." he said with a small nod as he made a mental note to track down howard slayte once more to check in on him as well as the golem he was tasked with studying.

He tried not to grin too hard as Theo approved of his next plans, eager to get started once more. "I'll start making calls!" he said with a nod. He doubted there'd be any resistance. He was on friendly terms with most of the science corps now, and of course, there's the backing of his Underboss.

He takes back the tablet and began to type some quick notes for when he got back to HQ. "I'll make sure to send you a check in report end of next week." he assured the blonde as they began to move again.
