His life post the events of xerneas leaving him had left him a recluse. He hadn't wanted to see anyone or anything in a while, Zev Harcourt had attempted to reach out but it was meant with silence. Bryan knew if he saw Zev the chances of him being killed instantly sky rocketed. [break][break]

When word of Bryan’s fall trickled down, Calpurnia could not quite hold back a titter. It was not that she disliked the man. Quite the opposite in fact. He really was quite the piece of eye candy. But the repercussions were another matter—proof of how silly it was to rely on fickle things like gods. It really filled her with a bit of pride. She’d been saying these things for years.

When the question of this silly little battle arose, the scientist did not hesitate to volunteer. Partly because a lot of her underlings were spineless pushovers, and partly because she wanted to secretly gloat over the fallen avatar. Maybe she could get some juicy gossip out of this mess. As he stepped up to the line, Calpurnia smiled at him. Those violet eyes were mirthful—like a cat playing with a mouse.

“It’s lovely to have you with us, Mister Delarosa!” She felt her lips perk up. “I do wish it was under more…auspicious circumstances.” It didn’t quite sound that way.

A hand drew across her chest before sliding down to her belt. “Would you care to make this silly spat more interesting?” She grabbed a Pokeball at her waist and tossed it. “A wager, perhaps?”

Her Scream Tail took to the field with a series of neanderthal undulations. A truly savage little creature. She adored it.

Scientist meets savage as Bryan immediately takes note of the language she uses. He wasn't the brightest tool in the box but he was good at reading people's body language. It was a necessary skill to be strong enough to survive in rocket.[break][break]

At the mention of a wager, his eyebrow raises suspiciously but his interest is peaked. "What exactly do I have that you want?" he asks her as he's curious. Was she trying to size him up? He was known in rocket to be a savage force of nature but maybe they were curious to see what he could do now without relying on that creature's light. [break][break]

"And do you have anything I want?" His red eyes hungry at the prospect of having someone else under his thumb as he was going to be requiring more people like that.

The elder Rocket’s lips stretch into a secretive smile. Many things, love. She so desperately wishes to say. Perhaps take a chance to explore the skin beneath the ink. But she was at work right now, and the poor nerds would have a heart attack. “It’s just professional, sadly.” At this point, she doubted any of her darlings had seen another’s private parts outside of a biology textbook. “I want to see the effect the deer’s departure had physiologically.” Perhaps provide additional insight into her work with Tempest.

“I am a smart, accomplished woman with a lab, Mister Delarosa.” She laughs. A hand lifts to spread across her chest. “I am sure we can work something out.” Maybe he wanted a new Sygna suit to hide his broken pride? A few high priority tests ran on some silly little League discovery. She was curious just what he would go after. It’d be as telling as whatever tests she ran.

Her little Scream Tail was now dotted with little sensors. If allowed, the same amount would be applied to the demon plant.

A cough from behind drew violet eyes back. One of the lab assistants clung nervously to his tablet. When he didn’t speak immediately, a violet brow jerked impatiently. “Hm?” That seemed enough motivation to move the social incompetent’s tongue. “Everything’s all set, Miss Kubrick.” Trying her best not to look too eager, the scientist turned to her barbaric puff ball.

“Let’s get started, shall we?”

That's all he was, a freak show. The latest failure. He had to ensure that they remembered he is first and foremost a BEAST. He grips his pokeball tightly, almost revealing he still had his super strength. His final parting gift or a forgotten relic of an era. [break][break]

He allows the sensors to placed onto his pokemon and waits for the match to start. "If I win, you give me money. I don't work for free."
he was a simple man, all he wanted was beer, money, a roof and a guy's ass to grab. "Sunny day." he orders [break][break]

As the fake sun rises into the sky, the pokemon's abilities activate and start to make the brute bonnet become more feral as it roars and unleashes a RAGE POWDER to taunt the pokemon into hitting him
