As the sun is swallowed by the horizon, the world begins to grow dark. Shadows stretch and obscure and Nerina tilts her chin forward in an effort to hide her lips within the fabric of her scarf. Her hands fit into the pockets of her peacoat. A pokeball sits heavy at the bottom and Nerina palms it before she calls it out.

Pumpkaboo lands in front of her. The small pokemon turns to her trainer and makes a quiet noise before Nerina leans down to scoop it up, cradling it in a way that allows its gourd like half to illuminate the path ahead.

Nerina comes to a stop as the weavile makes its presence known, body poised in the middle of the path. Her Pumpkaboo squeaks. Around her heels, leaves begin to rustle and lift and as the weavile charges forward, Pumpkaboo embeds it with razor leaves.

She shifts the pokemon, reaching for another ball as the weavile attempts another attack towards the pair. A cold wind picks up but Nerina tosses out her Chimecho next. An order is given and the Pokemon yawns.

Weavile stumbles forward, body growing heavy. It raises a hand, claws glinting, but collapses in a sleep just before it can strike.

Nerina steps back from its body. She tosses a spare pokeball at it.
