"You're no fun," the pale-haired woman sighed, running a hand through her hair despite the small amused smirk that lingered on her lips. Picking up her newly caught pokemon and pocketing the pokeball, she stretched slightly, hearing the satisfying 'pop' of tense muscles.

"I didn't take you as a dog person," she commented idly, watching as a shiftry darted through the shade, disappearing almost as abruptly as it appeared. "You're not a particularly lovable nor friendly person." Despite the hostility of her comment, there was genuine interest.

”Right like I’m going to fall for that one.” He laughed as he picked up the now occupied capsule.

”There’s no way you would’ve spent all this time with me if I wasn’t loving and adorable.” Sure he was of course hamming up but still he knew where they stood. But still, there was a question outside of that remake.

”I guess I’ve never really thought about being a cat or dog person, I like both.” He replied, then finding it a bit ironic that he could spot a Meowth nearby.

”What about yourself? You scream cat lady to me.”

This time, Circe can't contain the heavy roll of her eyes. "Out of all the people in our god forsaken team, you're one of the few who give me the least headaches, yes." She antagonized him once more with a taunting look, lips daring to twist into a half sneer. She didn't mind Samuel's company more often than not, which said plenty. While she didn't see his value as an assistant too much, she could mildly appreciate and tolerate his presence. "Congratulations." Her dry voice is filled with a taunting snark.

"Neither." The distaste in her voice is hidden, but noticeable. While she did favor her ninetales over most, if not all, of the pokemon she possessed, she assumed the infatuation had little to do with personal connection and more so the familiarity and routine of it all. She decided to humor him though, adding on, "I do enjoy cats more though. I can forget to feed them for a few days, and they'll be fine." Being so engrossed in her work, as most scientists were, she often didn't have time to stop and do tasks, like worrying about another's care.

”And why am I not surprised that would be you answer?” Samuel laughed, shaking his head.

”Anyway I’d love to know who else in this godforsaken team you can stand because they’ve got to be something special.” Or maybe he had that a bit wrong.

”Actually there’s a good chance, given that most people in rocket are either strange or dumb or both, they’re just normal people.” continuing this would have to wait as there were more wild Pokémon to deal with. Samuel had returned the Pokémon he used up until this point and so he decided to mix things up with his Armaldo.

Samuel’s target was the Absol, which had already been alerted to the two Rockets and was making a move. The Armaldo intercepted with an X-Scissor, the larger Pokémon pinning down the dark type.

Samuel would take this as his opportunity to capture the Pokémon and flung an empty capsule at it.

"Hm?" The question caused a faint hum to stir from the scientist's lips. "Eva." She said the name easily - she often enjoyed the other intelligent woman's company and respected her enough to where she treated her with far more regard than she did most.

"Normal people? Really?" She quirked a brow. Did she consider the other members of rocket 'normal'? She wasn't entirely sure. She wasn't sure how they'd function in regular society. The idea of running a discrete experiment about it...Especially now since she had the authority too...Unbeknownst to her, an almost cruel smirk curled on her lips. "Maybe I'll have to find that out for myself."

"Is there any in rocket that you favor?" She soon asked in sheer curiosity. However, her attention was briefly caught by the smell of flowers, a roselia in the distance flailing its arms about in an almost dancing motion. Briefly distracted by the rather charming sight, she eventually withdrew her arbok in favor of releasing out both of her ninetales. The twin foxes yawned, curling around their trainer's legs like while trained Siamese Cat's.

"Retrieve." The command was akin to that of an owner commanding her dog - despite her previous statement and supposed dislike for them. The cream-colored pokemon darted forward, circling the roselia and assaulting it with an inferno. It was with a quick attack that it crunched down on its rose-esque hands, dragging the writhing, burned pokemon towards Circe, who tossed a pokeball at it.

”Now that’s a good question.” Samuel would have to think it over a second while there were some that came to mind immediately he wanted to be sure that he wasn’t missing anyone.

”Well there’s the marcel maeda . Kind of worried about that one, I think he needs to haul up in his office as much as he might be.” Samuel started, picking up the capsule of the now captured Absol and then returning his other Pokémon.

”dominic sinclair ’s another one that I get along with pretty well.” His train of thought was interrupted due to the appearance of a few Pokémon, the Nidoqueen piquing his interest. His Milotic would do well against it so the man released the Water-Type and ordered it to use surf.

The Pokémon was surprisingly tougher than he expected and required another attack for it to finally go down and for him to attempt to capture it with a Pokéball.

”Oh! And there’s elijah gardner ! The apothecary that works in the HQ sometimes! Do you know him? He’s got green short hair and I think he might have a permanent frown on his face.”

The look of disgust on Circe's face was palpable. "Get along? With Sinclair? You might actually be a sociopath. Stop by the lab sometime, let me do a psychoanalysis." She was well aware that, aside from herself and a few others, dominic sinclair was....manageable. She wouldn't call him amicable nor 'easy to get along with, but he did his job well. Something akin to a hibernating ursaring; not entirely harmless, but fine if you left him be. 'Still a dick though,' the distasteful huff left her lips and a heavy roll of her eyes.

Her opinion on marcel maeda was the only mildly 'positive' one she had out of the three he listed. A questionable taste in those he opted to hang out around, but not terrible.

Elijah though? Circe actually stopped moving, her eyes widening for a moment...Until, abruptly, she brought her hands to a face with a groan. Regret. Nothing but regret. "Fuck," she sounded annoyed, "I've deduced that you have terrible taste, Samuel." There was no joking in her words either. Despite their almost friendly relationship, her tone was incredibly cold - irate, even.

She waved a hand, her moods as fickle as ever. "I'm going home."
