Slateport feels familiar to Florian in the sense that it had been the first part of Hoenn he'd truly seen upon arrival. He'd taken a ship from Coumarine and had spent his first few hours in Slateport getting a feel for the hub of the region. It was certainly beautiful, and he adored the market, but he didn't think anything could ever compare to his beautiful hometown of Laverre.[break][break]

Still, the familiar feeling is comforting as he finds himself in the Upper District of Slateport with Joli at his side.[break][break]

"It's nice here, no?" The Sylveon gives a delighted trill as he sniffs the salty sea air. "Perhaps we go to the park later, after we look around here a bit."[break][break]

He's heard the area is known for bugs — a fact that most would view with disgust, but that delights Florian — but more important, it's known to have fairies.[break][break]

Honestly, he mistakes it for someone's dropped ice cream at first. He might have passed it over had Joli not stopped in his tracks and twitched his tail, cocking his head to the side as he watched the sentient... dessert?[break][break]

It makes a noise, then, and Florian grins from ear to ear. Oh gosh, it's so cute! He's not even sure what it is, but he's pretty sure now that it's a Pokemon, and he's certain that it's dang adorable.[break][break]

He fishes out a Pokeball and tosses it toward the Milcery.
