it was cold. not normal for hoenn, but it has occurred frequently enough to be considered as normal nowadays. dressed in thicker clothes than he usually wears, kyle moves stiffly with it.

also, he is walking his dog.

he is walking his dog in the districts of the region's biggest city.

it is such a normal thing to do and no one should judge him from waling his dog without a leash while he walks with his full attention on his phone, playing games idly as he tap tap taps away.

it starts to get progressively colder. while the increase in temperature does not faze him, the pause in his mightyena's movements on his peripheral alerts his attention to pressing matters.

a snover appears to have made a home in one of the city's alleys. it was one of kyle's favorite shortcuts around the city as well. he takes his attention off of his phone for a moment and stares at his mightyena beside him.

"scare him away."

ears perking up, the canine raised its tail as it turned from his trainer to the wild pokemon in a quick motion. it barked, calling the snover's attention, before coating his fangs with flames. the act was enough to give the snover the message. hopefully, it'll move somewhere else -- preferably the wild.

kyle gets back to his dog walking, and then to his phone.

he looks at another wild pokemon staring at him from above the walls that divide the alleys. kyle stops to return its glare. it holds for a few seconds before kyle gives in and turns to his mightyena.

"scare him away too."

the mightyena growls, and then barks. it's enough to intimidate the aipom and get it to run away.
