You would think that someone with even the slightest amount of common sense wouldn't wander around the outskirts of Slateport by themselves. Rowan isn't that someone. Fingers gliding past one of the many crumbling brick walls as she walks, she's unsure whether she's brave or foolish for being here (she hopes brave, brave would be much cooler).

Hair dyed a bright pink this week, she sticks out like a sore thumb, but the way she holds her head high and the confidence in her steps is enough to keep her safe; for people to think twice before bothering her.

Eyes peeled for what she's looking for, Rowan ventures forth.

From the corner of her eyes, Rowan spots the mareanie, it's spikes peeking out from behind a wall. Coming to a stop, she reaches for one of her pokeballs, releasing her bulbasaur.

"Hey buddy," she says, smiling down at the pokemon. Tilting her chin, she nods at the mareanie. "Use sleep powder."

The bulbasaur does as he's told, trotting over to the other pokemon before putting it to sleep. Once it dozes off, Rowan grabs an empty pokeball and throws it, watching closely as it wiggles on the ground.
