kyle starts to almost lose his mind when he sees the object of affection running around and not being in his possession.

"golden poochy!" he turns to his mightyena. "echo, it's a golden poochy!"

kyle readies a pokeball while he watches his mightyena go for the target.

"it probably has delicate fur or something!"

his feet start to do tiny steps in place, too excited to behave himself. the smile on his face only grows bigger when he watches his mightyena take his words into consideration, tackling and bowling over the smaller canine instead of outright attacking it.

with his larger size and heavier weight, he manages to pin down the shiny poochyena easily. it tries to get away, but the intimidation from its evolved form tells it that it already lost the fight even before it started.

it succumbs into defeat as kyle bops a pokeball at it.
