he has his arms wrapped around his obstagoon as they travel along the route.

although it looks intimidating and rough, kyle cannot deny the softness of his fur. it has a certain texture that was far from smooth, but it still manages to tempt kyle on clinging onto it for the majority of their walk. it's so warm too, though that may be accounted to the fact that obstagoons are warm blooded creatures.

at the very least, the galarian pokemon does not seem to mind kyle's childish behaviors.

his obstagoon is released from kyle's grip when kyle sensed it tense. the trainer notices the bonsly on the side of the road, and along with it, notices that his obstagoon headed for it.

he watches what his pokemon does. they were still, after all, in the honeymoon phase of their relationship where they were getting to know each other. part of him expects something to be worried about and he's just too lazy to do something about it, consciously trying to reason it out as 'trusting' his pokemon's nature.

the obstagoon punts the bonsly away from his path.

he knows his obstagoon wants to kick it too, but kyle also knows that the slugma is hotter than the sun's surface, or so what he was told.

when his pokemon starts to approach the slugma, kyle takes his obstagoon's paw and drags him away. watching him get burnt would be fun, but he'd rather avoid unnecessary nursing he may have to do if his obstagoon gets unnecessarily hurt.
