The league was late on his check. That was the only thought Kandros had in mind. Sure, he was supposed to be one of the nice guys, help the people of Hoenn and all and do so with a wide grin so the people could feel like they had real superheroes on their side against the looming threat of whatever the hell was happening to frighten children and old women so. [break][break]

For him, it didn't matter what the threat was. He could more than handle himself against gangs of thugs. What mattered in all of this and the reason he joined the league in the first place or at least contemplated joining was the pay. He had no idea how much they were paying nor did he know how much trouble that their adversaries were going to cause. Money was money. [break][break]

Annoyed and bored Kandros looked up at one of the towers of water-based at the center of the Falls. His narrow eyes further furrowed as he looked up at the edge of the cliff. What could be up there? His thoughts produced the simple question. Perhaps there were some Pokemon up there? Or a hidden treasure? That could more than makeup for his lack of pay for the day.[break][break]

Clutching at one of the Pokeballs at the waist of his dusky pants he detached the crimson and cream sphere from his belt and tossed it in the air. The ball 'clicked' in the air and produced Metal, his mild-mannered Steelix, from his pocket-sized prison. [break][break]

The Steelix fell to the ground with a heavy thud, its first instinct to look about the area for its master. Once its crimson hues landed on the powdery headed do-gooder it lowered its head to absorb any orders. [break][break]

"Raise me up there." Kandros' finger pointed to the cliff that he had become so infatuated with. [break][break]

Metal gave a curt nod and lowered its head and Kandros took his step onto the behemoth's head. [break][break]

Once the Pokemon raised him high enough he stepped onto the edge and looked about the place. "Is this all?" he spotted nothing but another empty flat, it seemed he'd need to get further into the falls for his treasure.[break][break]

Recalling Metal to his Pokeball Ken tread deeper on his expedition of gold.

The league was late on his check. That was the only thought Kandros had in mind. Sure, he was When he first saw it, he questioned everything he knew about Pokemon. Before laid not one of the elusive dragons, not a Pokemon of legend nor a treasure plated gold. This was something far more precious. [break][break]

Kandros' eyes paused at the sight of the massive shell that rested at the center of a rocky shallow just near where the water of the falls had accumulated. It looked absolutely ancient! Must have been a couple hundred years old from the looks of it. That had to be worth way more than whatever the League was paying him![break][break]

At first, he wanted to just yank it out of the water and take it back to the nearest museum so he could get it analyzed and so that was what he did bluntly put. [break][break]

He tiptoed up to the prehistoric-looking shell and placed his hands on either side of it. "Alright, gently... Righty tighty lefty is a loosey." he turned it left, he turned it right and with a forceful yank he pulled it out of the water! [break][break]

It was surprisingly easy! He raised the shell into air victoriously only to make a horrifying discovery. A blue blob flailed in the air after the shell its ten tentacles whipping every which way, one of which slapping Kandros across the face and leaving a trail of slime down his cheek. In reaction, the bulky male didn't scream but stared up at the Pokemon with an inquisitive gaze. [break][break]

"Wow... That's pretty cool." he spoke to the writhing beast, "You uh... You're coming with me." [break][break]

The water type didn't react besides more wriggling appendages and slaps. [break][break]

"I'll call you tentacles my dude." he examined the Pokemon closer its large eyes instantly reminding him fo dinner saucers, "Oh right! We need to get to lunch! You'll get a ball later!" [break][break]

With that he placed Tentacles beneath his arm and made haste to get back to camp. Tentacles flailed, snapped and hissed but to no avail managed to escape. Eventually, the blue beast would give up and accept its fate.
