What was up with the in-game weather?! It reminded him of the time that Hoenn suddenly experienced a shift in weather a few months back, snow—an unknown thing in the tropical region unless one explored the lowest levels of Shoal Cave—this shit felt absolutely real in here! What the hell!

While his own clothing kept him warm enough, he wasn’t as sure of his companion’s clothing. Even if this was just virtual reality, dang, how far had technology come to make an in-game blizzard feel just as cold as the real thing?!

Not even the winters back in Mistralton could compare with the frigid weather that was making this kingdom tremble!

Where could they rest?!

Everywhere he looked was a blinding white, it was starting to drive him nuts. The only thing reassuring him that they were still together was the party interface showing both his and Leafae’s names in the Party menu. Turning around, he tried to call to the other, but instead had to resort to sending a message in the party interface to the Healer:

‘Are you alright back there? How can virtual reality make this feel all too real?!’

"I am fine!" Florian chirps back, raising his voice to be heard over the howling blizzard. He's reassured by the sound of the other's voice, having started to worry that they might lose each other in the haze of white. "Technology is frightening."[break][break]

Thankfully, Florian had the forethought to purchase some cold-resistant gear before heading out into the icy depths of Nixtorm. His robes were lined with a soft fur, and he barely felt the biting chill except on his reddened cheeks.[break][break]

"We should really set up a campfire, though..."[break][break]

They wouldn't be able to keep one lit in the middle of a blizzard, not without finding some form of shelter against the wind. The healer lifts his twisted stave and casts a twister into the storm, dragging some of the snow into its depths and offering a slight increase in visibility.
