Enya and Hestia both spotted the Spinarak, seemingly excited about the bug pokemon. Eli, though, wrinkled his nose up in disgust. "No thanks. Not what we're here for," he said, trying to walk away.

However, his two dog pokemon were trying to chase the poor thing.

"Hey, you two! Come on!" he said, slapping his leg. "Before it tries to attack you!"

Elliott walked with his hands stuffed in his pockets, his two pokemon walking on either side of him. Of course he was looking to expand his team, and he heard of good potential on route 123. So, he figured he'd shoot his shot, see where it got him.

If not, well... there was always stealing, right? Maybe he could buy a pokemon he needed off the black market or something.

He'd at least try this first. Eli wouldn't stoop to that level so quickly.

Enya began to sniff the air. He looked over at the Houndoom, raising a brow. "You smell something?"

Elliott barely heard Cian's call on time, almost stumbling and falling on his face as he practically ran forward to avoid the LICK. His hand reached for a pokeball, unsure which of his pokemon he was calling out.

It was Enya, his Houndoom, and she was prepared.

"Enya! Use CRUNCH!" Poor Eli was standing there looking petrified. It was really embarrassing.

Hopefully Cian wouldn't make fun of him about this later.

Elliott snorted. "Yeah. Whatever, old man." He rolled his eyes at him. Jeez, this guy was freaking irritating. He could use another drink.

And probably better company.

"Well, if you want to catch up or something, I'll be around," he said to Lana, giving him a look that wasn't exactly clear. Was that a threat or a genuine invitation to talk? Well, he'd leave that up to Lana to decide.

Maybe he'd give him some money back.

He walked away, snatching another drink, wondering if CIAN MAHER was there.

Elliott was suspicious of his response. Good? He paid to be nice? That was a rare occurrence. He was used to his nights of men paying for his things to try to get him to go home with them. It usually ended with a fist in the face. But this guy seemed like he was being genuine.

"Okay... thanks," he said again, drinking. He sighed, content.

"Should you go around mentioning how you have a lot of money in these parts?" Eli asked with a small smirk, trying to hide some of his amusement behind his glass. He was a thief, after all.

"Elliott. Nice to meet you." He shook Jack's hand firmly. "Do you come to this bar often?"

Of course, no one knew he was too young to really be here. But that was the thrill of it. Not to mention, he was practically in the clear after coming here for so long. He was finishing his conversation with the bartender when the guy sitting next to him placed an order.

Normally, Elliott would go along his day, drink a bit until he was finally ready to party it up. But, this dude just paid for his drink!

What the hell!

Eli regarded him with raised brows before pulling his own glass forward. "Well, thanks. What do I owe you for the pleasure of your generosity?" he asked, looking at him over his glass at he sipped from it.

Usually people had prices, right?

Elliott looks over at Cian again. Sometimes, he wondered exactly what he had done to be rewarded with a friend like him. While they were both jackasses to each other, he wouldn't trade him for the world.

"I won't get hurt. At least, I won't intentionally."

Jeez, that'd probably come back to bite him in the ass, wouldn't it?

Eli's head snapped back forward, chills running down his spine. Shit. "Where?" He looked around, eyes scanning the treetops. Not aware that whatever Cian had seen...

Was actually slinking up behind him.

"What, we hardly see each other since that day, and you cut it so short? Why not drink and chat a bit? I'm sure your boyfriend won't mind, will he?" Elliott made a pointed look at Victor, challenging him.

He had no interest in Lana, really. He was really staying just because Victor had really pissed him off with that shoulder flick. And now, he had no intention on holding back any attempt to not make the situation worse.

Probably a poor mistake.

"A talk? With you? We can talk now, if you'd like." Elliott smirked, tapping his foot and waiting for his reply.

Did this guy just push his hand off Lana's shoulders? Oh, he had some nerve, alright. Elliott narrowed his crimson eyes at him, a silent challenge to touch me one more time. See what happened. He fought the urge to do something to annoy him again.

Well, Eli had a habit of annoying people, right?

"It was no big deal. After all, you practically dragged me to that place," he said, cocking a brow at Lana as he waited for his reaction. "Just a couple of lost dollars. That can be made up."

Right.

If the dude would ever give him money back. Maybe a few pushes in the right direction would be enough convincing?
