While Elias was once a well-meaning individual, his attitude towards life and his personality shifted after the cancer diagnosis. The price for his medical treatment eventually became too much for his family to bear, and it showed. Food in the house grew scarce. They no longer went out as a family. His parents sold their car and began taking public transportation. While Elias' modeling had brought in a decent amount of income, the toll of the disease and it's treatment eventually stole his hair, making him effectively useless to the modeling agency. It was around this time Eli abandoned his home, hoping that being relieved of the financial burden would return their quality of life. Everything in his room was left as it was, allowing them something to remember him by.

Geta sandals left behind deep impressions in the earth as Lin pressed further into Route 101. His most trusted pokemon also roamed freely, though wouldn't be seen with him. They were currently in the process of playing one of their 'games', the origins of which dated back to the first era of ninja that worked alongside pokemon. To compare it to something, they were playing a mix of tag and hide-and-seek. But they weren't playing. Not really...
