Days, hours, years cleaved through their souls, bearing the weight of an absence yet filled. Still, the admin's words carried the tender touch of cloth, gingerly crafted, perfectly needed.

Like a dog obeying his owner's command, Felix took his place on the couch, his knees bending outwards with what little space allocated to them. There was no room for discomfort - not when worry still buried his thoughts, suffocating all else from blooming.

Back then, when the simplicity of school still served as major obstacle in his life, Felix life was ravaged by raw, unchecked emotions. Fear, anger, depression - they ruled the way he thought, the way he interacted, the way he even approached breakfast on a bad day. Broken controller parts would often litter floor from combustions of rage elicited from something as small as a loss in a video game.

It wasn't until August Gallagher was born that he changed, exchanging youthful fury for stoicism. It made for an easier life for both himself and his brother. Even now, it was that unfaltering façade of control that kept him together through Rocket's regimen; it was that blank expression that pushed him past Galar. But like a candle being blown out before dawn, just because he held no flame now doesn't mean its been robbed from him forever.
