His advice comes a little too late, the Scream Tail beginning to struggle and ready to launch its counterattack against Noel. Instincts tell him to call Kapua into action, but before anything else can be done, the paradox pokemon is sucked right into a pokeball.[break][break]

"You're either really lucky or just extremely talented." Stepping closer to the now contained threat, Emmett offers a hand for Noel to take. "Though... I guess luck could also count as a talent."[break][break]

One that he doesn't have, and he will not count upon as he eyes that Iron Bundle. A quick nod to his Servine seals the deal, a Leaf Blade brought down upon the creature to knock it right out. Only... it doesn't faint, instead melting back into interdream mist and disappearing without a trace.[break][break]

The more that poor person replies, the more he begins to pinpoint their identity. Sounds dead inside, a little worried for what's to come, probably ready to throw hands at whatever might come out at them - Probably fits about a large number of the combatants present on this field, but this particular brand is identifiable by the exact voice.[break][break]

This time, he will not answer, only busy himself by tapping away at the walls and trying to find a weak spot. But perhaps, that pout that Na'au gives him is indicative that he might be making a terrible decision.

It's great how there are those who are efficient with their own work, but considering just how new Kapua is to fighting, she does need more time to get things under control.[break][break]

"Give me a sec!" Is all he can yell to Noel, "Pull back!"[break][break]

The Iron Bundle doesn't let up even after being beaten down and entangled by vines. Opening its beak, it prepares itself to launch a Hydro Pump. With the call, Kapua will throw herself to the side, unleashing a flurry of leaves that cut at the paradox pokemon. And she'll cause her vines to tighten, slamming the Iron Bundle face first into the ground.[break][break]

Just where the hell is he? After following a report of a strange hole located in the middle of nowhere, Emmett has found himself in quite the predicament for you see, the investigation led to him falling for a rather well-hidden pit into a rather deep cavern full of water. And after pulling himself out of the pool, he'd realised that the radio signals were either far too weak or jammed here, so there went the plan of calling for help.[break][break]

So, there was only one option left - To venture down that tunnel present in the deepest corner and pray for the best. At the very least, he isn't alone in this journey, poor little Na'au sticking close to his side as her ribbons tighten around his arm. Count the other pokeballs present with him and he probably has a pretty decent chance of survival.[break][break]

"Fuck around and find out, right?"[break][break]

His voice echoes down this passageway, the question slowly hammered into his head as he hears himself repeat it several times over.[break][break]

Damn the weather. He's already had more than enough sun back on the sunny shores of Akala Island, and he won't subject Moana to such a fate.[break][break]

The Servine that comes out next seems to fare much better, rustling her leaves as she takes one look at the angry bird rushing them down. Despite the overwhelming heat, it brews up a large wave of Powdered Snow, all ready to freeze the ground and its foes solid.[break][break]

"Disrupt it."[break][break]

With a swish of her tail, Kapua lashes out with a Vine Whip. In an instant, thorny tendrils sprout from the ground and break up the icy surface, readily snapping right at the Iron Bundles.

A creatures as prideful as a Charizard would never let itself go down without taking a few with them. As he feels the wind rising and watches the energy beginning to crystallise, he knows that whatever comes next is going to hit hard.[break][break]

Forget about him. He would rather get all the bones in his body broken than watch his own precious partner get battered by something as destructive as this. Despite the Umbreon's cries, she's recalled into her ball before the attack is unleashed.[break][break]

And in the moment of impact, a tiny Purrloin breaks free of her containment and lashes at the incoming crystalline shards with hasty Night Slashes. But the chunks are large and jagged; though sliced into with her full weight, the gaps that her claws get stuck in spell disaster.[break][break]

A sharp screech makes his heart drop, his eyes barely able to search for Aka amidst the harsh winds buffeting them. But still he tries his best, running in the direction of the cry and reaching out to catch a purple bundle tumbles right through the air. A slick warmth prickles against his arms, his back turned to the dragon as he tries his best to shelter this kitten from the storm.[break][break]

What is she doing, trying to prove herself in a moment as crucial as this? Would she not have gotten hurt if he hadn't brought her along?[break][break]

Escaping the dastardly clutches of paperwork is much easier than one might think. After all, one simple piece of paper indicating that he's going to help another branch for the day is marginally less than the whole 3 stacks still sitting on his desk. And that isn't because he doesn't keep up with all his work, that's what truly makes it a horrendous experience.[break][break]

"You don't think it's all part of Fox's master scheme, do you?" Idle thoughts lead to idle conversation, a patrol through the quieter parts of the city meaning less troublemakers for him to encounter and take down. Mahina and Na'au dance around each other in simple zigzags, with only the Sylveon's ear perking up at hearing his theories vocalised. "It's not like he can do anything unless he's seconded."[break][break]

Average performance, average achievements. Everything he's done is just enough to make sure that he doesn't get in trouble, but not quite outstanding enough for people to take particular notice...[break][break]

The Charizard is a menace, lashing out at them with such malice. And it's by some kind of miracle that he doesn't go tumbling from the attack it unleashes upon them, but his knees really won't thank him in the later years for being this stubborn. Out goes Kailani and in her place stands a rather grumpy Umbreon, mostly thrown off by the horrible weather conditions present on this cursed volcano.[break][break]

"Mahina, support us." It's a simple command that gets her going, soft traces of Moonlight washing over the field. And in the meantime, he'll look to Vanilla Kingsley and El Sunderland, offering them his hand to pull them back to their feet.[break][break]

"Hang in there. We'll beat this bugger and get out of this place soon enough."[break][break]
