The roar of a MOTORCYCLE suddenly echoes out from the horizon. Six-inch wide cruiser tires roll across the mossy stone-paved paths of MT. PYRE as the engine growls. Zooming past gravestones and dilapidated shrines, the riders eventually come into view for and once they take a smooth turn. sits in the driver's seat with a helmet obscuring his face. sits behind him.

It isn't long before the motorcycle comes to a stop before the RIFT site, however. Reaching into his bike's pack, the masked rider pulls out an entire tray of CHICLETS and waves it about in the air. "We're selling Chiclets here. Great-tasting gum in a variety of flavors." He remarks, scowling at his own performance behind the cover of his helmet.

"All proceeds go to the Verdanturf Little League team. Come buy some."

Despite his poor salesmanship skills, however, and the ADMIN that looms behind him, the Paldean hopes this will buy enough time for the second team to sneak in. He turns over his shoulder slightly to regard Jayden, wondering if the man had anything else to add to this little distraction.

The sight of the STAKATAKA causes Cade to freeze and reevaluate what he's seeing. At first, he sees... buildings on the horizon. Then they begin to move, lights glowing as the entire group is targeted. Now Cade is beginning to think they're something more akin to tanks than buildings, and he hurries to usher the others along as he stays on their flank. "Andale, let's go!"

When he sees a crossfire of ROCK BLAST coming, however, Cade stops to issue a command to the Sableye clinging to his shoulder. "DISABLE!" He orders, causing one Stakataka to fail its attempted attack while the other is defended against by and her Pokémon.

One quick sprint later and they reach the POWER STATION's gate. Cade finds it locked, however, and fails at prying it open with his bare hands. That's when he spots a CHARJABUG crawling on the ground nearby. After chirping at Nadya and sending her down, the Sableye picks up the bug with her hands and ferries it over to the door's powerless electronic keypad. Cade casts it a sharp glare.

"Vamos; open it."

And, thankfully, the Charjabug does just so. With a quick zap, the electronic keypad comes to life and unlocks the gate. The group hurriedly enters the reinforced power station as blasts and explosions descend upon their general area. Their one-eyed blonde bodyguard is the last to go through before shutting the large gate behind them and locking it.

"Everyone okay?"

She's light against him, yet so thoroughly present. Wherever his hands touch the Paldean is graced with sublime softness and warmth. Amongst the steam and within the spring, their bodies meld into one more smoothly than they ever have before. "For myself," He answers, lavishing in her gifts. "I want to leave something behind when I finally go someday..."

Kids weren't out of the question, of course, but he wasn't counting on them. Not like he would dare to find another woman who wanted kids, anyway. And not that he'd dared to wonder if Summer wanted them... way too soon for that.

He sighs, exhaling those thoughts out of his mind and instead refocusing on the pleasures of the here and now. Somehow, Cade manages to catch a deep moan in his throat as she massages him well, suppressing it to the best of his ability as he relishes her touch. "Mmm... yeah, just like that," He smiles, slowly leaning his head back further so she may grant him more affection. "I could just slip away."

It wasn't the only treasured cabinet Cade was honored to have Summer open for him, of course. And the fact that he was allowed to come here and cook her dinner was a rare privilege. Such blessings were not lost on the one-eyed blonde. Their first night together was fated to end the following morning, with a pile of empty blankets on one side of the bed and no explanation.

But, against all odds, Cade had chosen to stay that morning instead... and Summer had chosen to allow that.

The Paldean, of course, still hesitated to grow too comfortable. It was a symptom of his self-preservation. Nevertheless, being beside Summer seemed to inspire that comfort effortlessly. It was difficult to try and practice otherwise, especially when she so casually granted him tidbits into her personal life and history here and there: the fate of her father included.

"Your father had great taste," He says, offering a small but sincere smile as he walks over to her. Setting the bottle down on the counter, he reaches out to gently grasp her chin with his fingers before turning her towards him. Their gazes meet intimately. "Just like you." He adds, smooching her cheek before moving away to prepare her concoction.

AVATARS. Cade had most certainly heard about them, even before he'd left PALDEA. The phenomena had happened in other parts of the world before— there were legends about it in history, anyway. But, here in HOENN, it seemed more possible than ever. "I saw GROUDON at MT.PYRE," He admits, placing hands on his hips as he regards the mural once more.

"I didn't know what it was when I first saw it, so I attacked it. Just when I was beginning to realize its power wasn't exactly natural, I got pulled away to fight someone else." He adds with a chuckle, turning to the beautiful woman beside him and smiling. "Carajo... lucky I didn't die, right? They say it made the whole continent we're standing on right now. Can you believe that?"

Cade smiles at her intrigue, looking up just in time to see her approach closer. "Not at all," He responds. Watching as she straddles him, the man wraps his hands at each side of her waist when she's done, keeping her there before leaning in to peck her lips.

"I'm writing a memoir," He whispers afterward, gently rubbing Summer's lower back in the steaming water as she prompts him to lean back for a smooch. Feeling spoiled by her offer, however, he grins. "A massage would be great, amor." Though certainly not as great as everything happening below the water, just out of sight of everyone.

As the two adults meet at the kitchen, Tarot gleefully rolls around on Summer's couch and soaks in the warmth she's left behind. Cade, in the meantime, awes at the bejeweled liquor cabinet she guides him to. "Ahh, of course... the tesoro cabinet."

As a Paldean and a BOUNTY HUNTER, one might have thought he had a knack for sniffing treasures out. But, alas, those senses were dulled when preoccupied with taking care of someone he wished to see better. Nevertheless, he reaches into the cabinet and pulls out a fine-looking bottle of whiskey.

"This will do just fine," He remarks, taking a look at the bottle's label. "KANTONIAN, too. Not bad."

As it turned out, wasn't the only one who took odd jobs here and there. He even employed his Pokémon to go out and make them some money, too. The latest Pokéjob had come from a bookstore in MAUVILLE CITY named WORBLE & HARNES. And, being something of a Ghost-type specialist on the side, Cade had exactly what they were asking for.


Unfortunately, NADYA the SABLEYE's creepy smile and off-putting gemstone eyes did not draw in too many people when it came to advertising. Instead, they reassigned her to the debut of the newest occult section. Her job was to slink about and scare the children like some sort of haunted house actor. If she could provide additional ambiance to the debut as well, however, she was encouraged to do so with glee.

Needless to say, she was a natural at it.

Slinking through the shadows, she set alight the nerves of anyone who dared walk through the occult section: child and adult alike. Shark-toothed grins and gemstone eyes served her well here. When an entire group of teenagers dared tread on her workspace, she even summoned a bit of POLTERGEIST activity to create a whirlwind of books and scare them.



POKEJOB ◓

A HOENN BOOKSTORE is setting up a new section for occult books. They are requesting Ghost-type Pokemon to assist with advertising and to add a spooky flair in the store during the section's debut.

Cade turns over his shoulder when she switches the TV off, watching as she pushes herself up to regard him once more. He's about to tell her to lie down and take it easy, but the sight of the covers tantalizingly sliding away from her body quiets him. Is he down bad, or is she really just that beautiful? Both, perhaps.

And even while she's sick, no less.

The Paldean amusedly smiles at the thought, turning away so he can resume his unpacking of groceries. "You're sick," He casually replies, completely oblivious to the deeper meaning Summer hopes to reach. In Paldea, taking care of one another was as natural as walking. Especially people you cared about. At least, that's how he was raised. "I wasn't about to leave you here alone. What kind of man would I be?"

It's really that simple.

When she asks what he's doing, Cade turns over his shoulder once more to find her walking towards him now, fixing the covers around her shoulders like a cape. "I'm making you a tea my mother used to make me," He explains. "Well, it's more of a cocktail, really. Do you have any whisky or rum, cariño?" He asks, looking around her kitchen.

Cade shivers at her touch, and it elicits a slowly drawn out smile. How she could manage that in a steamy spring was beyond him. Somehow, lounging about in here feels phenomenally better with her by his side. He contently sighs, leaning his head back as his hand finds her lower back with an affectionate caress.

"I was just doing some writing in my cabin," He admits, shifting a pleased gaze in her direction. "I hit a block, though... so this was the perfect getaway."

As the steam rises between them, and her own hand continues to wander, Cade can't help but hum and chuckle. "Mm... oh yes it does," He wholeheartedly agrees, lolling his head back to savor the heat; exposing his muscular neck and chest.
