Her face turns just the slightest tinge red when Tsubaki kisses her cheek, and Delphine smiles, before looking around at the pokemon nearby. Her eyes settle on the Spiritomb - "Not that," she answers. Perhaps an overly harsh statement, but... she's not fond of many ghost types, and Spiritomb's creepy, intimidating appearance doesn't help its case. She won't be catching one of those any time soon.

She turns her attention to Anchor once more. The Primarina is still in the water, splashing around with a Politoed. It's cute. She clearly gets along with Anchor. Yet... Delphine's not able to see herself improving Anchor and Dreadnaught's performances by partnering either with the pokemon. At least Anchor's made a friend for their day out.

Delphine fidgets with Anchor's pokeball, tossing it lightly in the air as she watches the Primarina splash and play in the water. She's hardly here for herself, simply tagging along as Tsubaki seeks... something. Her husband's plans can either be incredibly vague or play-by-play specific. He'd mentioned catching pokemon, and she's not sure if he's looking for one in particular, if he's simply looking around, or if, god forbid, he's doing Rocket work. She's doubtful he would have invited her along if this were the case, but something as tame as looking around a random route isn't particularly dangerous, even if it is somehow tied to his shady career. She's doubtful this is the case, though the idea keeps coming back to her. The hope? No... she doesn't want to be involved in all that. She has her own work to focus on.

She's not entirely closed off to the idea of catching a pokemon for herself, but it'd have to be a hell of a find. She hasn't caught a pokemon since she was a kid, with Anchor and Dreadnaught both being gifts. A two-pokemon team had always suited her before, and it feels like a reasonable number for a contest team - especially with both doing so well in their training. Still, she has a few pokeballs with her just in case they see something that truly catches her eye. Delphine halts in her playing with Anchor's pokeball, looking over at Tsubaki. "Good weather to be out in, at least," she comments cheerfully, seeing Anchor continue to swim gleefully, the generally lazy pokemon much more active where he belongs. "What're you hoping to find? Anything in particular?" She's curious. Tsubaki can be an enigmatic man, and being close enough to him to be let in where others are shoved out feels good.

Delphine watches excitedly as she watches Tsubaki lay out ingredients. His cooking process is always so interesting to her, and this is a side of that she never gets to witness. "Sounds like a plan to me," she confirms. Entertaining as it can be to watch him, she hopes the process of cooking doesn't take too long. She's ready to eat, and knowing how good she can expect the food to be makes the wait even harder.



Low rumbles in the distance pull Delphine's attention to the sky, but are not loud enough yet to disturb Anchor, who flops over in his sleep. "Is it supposed to rain again tonight?" she questions. There's no sign of lightning, but she can't be sure if it's due to a lack of lightning or a lack of visible sky under the thick branches. If the storm does hit them, she at least hopes Tsubaki finishes making their dinner first. It feels nice out, and she doesn't want to cut a beautiful night short. "Let me know if I can help with anything babe."

Delphine Hadara, once a talented contest announcer, is now making her return to the scene as a contestant years after the incident which frightened her out of the career. She turns a blind eye to Rocket business going on under her own roof as she trains for her debut, trying not to put too much thought into her husband's work. Partially because she finds herself more curious about what he gets up to than she thinks is healthy.

Platonic relationships are not difficult to form with her. Delphine is friendly enough, if not semi-secretive. She enjoys a chance to get out of the house, but will drag Tsubaki alongside her on any outings when he's around unless asked not to do so. She loves having an audience to watch her train for her debut contest, and would also like some extra encouragement in finding her footing as a contestant.

Business relationships are welcome on Delphine's end. These would primarily be within the contest world, but she's open to other types of business as well... so long as it does not put her in a position of loyalty to the League. She's not Rocket herself, but doesn't want to cause issues for Tsubaki.

There's plenty of room for enemies in Delphine's life. She tries not to cross anyone, but holds a grudge well and gets fired up over small things. There will always be rivals in the contest world, and it's only a matter of time before she finds hers.

Romantic relationships are of no interest to Delphine. She is happily married and doesn't see this changing any time soon, and while her husband's intimidating appearance scares of most who would try to interfere in their relationship, Delphine's not incapable of threatening off flirts effectively on her own.

It's not a particularly romantic location, but it's fitting for them. A roaring fire breaks the intimidating darkness of a night where the moon is nowhere to be seen. Her view of the sky is so blocked altogether Delphine can't tell if the darkness is from cloud cover or if the trees are simply that thick. The woods are not somewhere she visits often enough to know.

It's a date night centered more on Tsubaki's interests than her own, but Delphine is not picky in how she and her husband spend their time together. Not every romantic evening has to be in a high-end restaurant or comparable to their first nights together on the beaches of Alola... though while she fully appreciates the effort put into making this a meaningful date, the sounds of potentially dangerous bug-types lurking in the shadows spooks her, perhaps more than it spooks the much larger, more intimidating Tsubaki. She usually leaves her Pokemon at home on date nights, but for her own comfort, Anchor lounges on the other side of the fire, the Primarina snoring lazily and unprepared to take on danger. Delphine takes this as her cue to relax as well. After all, Tsubaki has never failed to keep her safe.

She leans against her date, holding a glass of the sparkling lemonade he'd packed. "You always know how to make everywhere seem so romantic," she compliments as she takes a sip. "And I can't wait to see what you have planned for dinner." Tsubaki's food is always fantastic, but she's less enthusiastic about camping, and doesn't ever get the chance to taste his outdoor cooking.
