Luke takes her delicate hand in her delicate gloves and helps guide her up onto the curb with her delicate heels; all sorts of delicate precautions for, he is sure, a not-so-delicate lady. Despite their appearances, princesses-- in his experience-- do tend to be less delicate than they seem.

“The courtesy is appreciated, your highness,” he says, offering her his arm as they walked towards the VIP entrance to the restaurant-- a great, double-storied newfangled thing, all sleek gleaming metal and giant window panes. “I must insist, however, that you call me Luke. Lord knows I’ve never properly been in line for anything, really.” He smiles to indicate his jest as they do, indeed, bypass the line waiting out front for seating.

The host, primly dressed in black and white, recognizes them (already, the power of money) and leads them through shining silver halls to a private alcove overlooking a gorgeous section of beach. A round table, an overhang to keep the sun off, windows that crank open letting in the sea air.

Luke deposits Elise at her chair and waits for her to be seated before finding his own.

“Your preference on wine, your highness?” he asks, waving over the sommelier. "I'm sure it's nothing you've not had before, but please-- tonight, the world is your oyster. My treat."

Real mastery, he knew, was a process of repetition. Maybe his Pokemon catching skills had become rather lax in the last few years, since he stopped needed them to subsist.

The Charcadet was a wistful sight. He had fond memories of them from childhood-- some of his only fond memories. His father, a prince, had been a collector of them, and they ran in packs throughout his estate, playing with the true royal children… and unlike his half-siblings, they didn’t see him as an outcast. They played with him, too.

With this in mind, he threw a Safari Ball.

Coming to a new city was one of the few joys in Lukan’s life still remaining. Each was like a precious Clamperl, just waiting to be cracked open and pilfered of their potential value. This did, unfortunately, give him the bad habit of leaving them, lessened and dying, in his wake-- but such was the cost of a man with appetites.

Today’s pearl laying upon a pink flesh bed was Elise Calcifet: royal, heiress, bestowed of ample bosom, in declining order of importance. It had been a long, long time since Luke’d cozied up with someone right and proper, but he was finding it to be like riding a bike, flexing muscles that, while disused, were ready to spring to attention at the slightest need.

He’d sent a chauffeured vehicle for her-- a sleek black Jaguar I-Pace, because it would not do to cart a princess around in a dangerous sportscar-- and was waiting at his chosen restaurant when his driver pulled up to the valet.

As keys and money were being exchanged, he stepped forward and opened the door for her, unoccupied arm sweeping out as he bent at the waist in a semblance of a bow.

“Your highness.”
