He knows it's too late as he tries to push the throttle past its maximum. There are times when you know it's hopeless, but you damned
well better try. Reason takes a back seat, emotion takes command.[break][break]

The AV with emblazoned letters KALOS Air Force slices in an arc over no-man's-land. It's the only aircraft within a few-mile radius. He's
