It was a typical run of the mil sort of day, nothing special really going on. Adam had decided to take advantage of what would normally turn in a lazy day and made it a training one. He had a few new additions to the team that he needed to get more acquainted with.

Besides that his Pokémon were a lively bunch so whatever excuse to get them out and about and running around was a welcome one. While it might appear like a handful Adam was always able to keep up and enjoyed all the hustle and bustle of his Pokémon.

There really wasn’t anything that could keep this girl down and that was something he liked about her. Definitely a good person to be around to keep spirits high, it was definitely hard to feel glum around here with this contagious giggly and playful attitude of hers.

Seriously, he wondered if he had ever seen her actually sad and depressed about anything for more than a moment. Not like he wanted to see that, be sort of a dick move if he did but regardless, negative emotions don’t last long around these parts it would appear. It was like her sort of super power.

”I don’t have to be a priestess to get what you mean.” He began, walking over to Siren and petting the creature lovingly. ”I’ve felt that feeling before many times…well maybe not exactly what you’re talking about but something similar to it. That deep bond you have with your Pokémon and to the world in general. I’ve traveled around to world for years seen so many things, done so many things. Trust me I definitely understand what you’re talking about.” A rare moment of his more serious and sentimental side, not something to take for granted.

He had gotten lost in thought so he completely didn’t notice the Pokémon that appeared and that Noelle’s attention had gone to that rather than what he said. Again the man hung his head in utter shame as the woman fawned over the Slowbro.

”Ah c’mon, again?” He rubbed the back of his head and then looked up to see Noelle playing with the Slowbro. ”Very cute, have a nice super pink thing going on.” If they were any brighter Adam would have to wear sunglasses. The other Pokémon that had appeared looked less than pleased about the whole situation.

”But let’s not forget this cool looking Solrock here!” Adam quickly scurried over to the Pokémon, it looked like it was going to go postal.

”Isn’t this one cool? It’s cool and cute in its own way, right? And a super rare Pokémon to boot! Much cooler than that Slowbro right?!” For the sake of god this was the one time that playing along actually mattered. Hopefully, Adam’s ass-kissing would keep it calm before a fight broke out. The damn thing looked like it was about to explode in anger over who knows what. Adam wasn’t in the mood to have to fight this thing.

Even if he had been mad at her and her reckless abandon when it came to her wellbeing the woman’s overall sunny disposition would’ve made it hard to be mad. ”I’d be happier if it didn’t involve having to prevent a soon to be funeral.” He scoffed, waving a dismissive hand at the prospect her words implied.

His Noivern was more than happy to see the girl, outside of the pampering she was currently receiving the dragon was well familiar with the girl and always enjoyed being around her, even nuzzling her in response to the attention. The sight of her and Noelle brought a bit of a smile to Adam’s face, it was cute.

The nice moment was completely ruined as Noelle shot Adam right through the heart with her Mateo comment. ”You could have at least sort of played along, jeez.” The man hung his head in defeat.

This sort of reaction wasn’t unusual whenever Mateo was brought up and while it was always sort of funny the way she reacted it he honestly wondered how nuts she would have gone if he was actually here. Weren’t they supposed to be getting married? Did that ever happen? No, he was pretty certain he would’ve heard of that if they had already tied the knot.

”Well hey now you don’t have to look so depressed!” Damn he really shouldn’t have brought him up. ”Let’s change the subject!” That should do the trick! ”What brings you to the falls? To check out the beautiful scenery? Catch some Pokémon? Learn more about the ancient people who supposedly lived here?”

Sun’s nap was interrupted and there was a list of things that the monkey would generally be okay being woken by. The smell of delicious food, the rise of the morning sun, but what wasn’t on that list was the sounds of crying.

His eyes shot open and the monkey quickly jumped up on his feet, looking around to find the culprit. That’s when it dawned on him that he left that crazy little bastard of a Deino alone and heaven knows what kind of chaos and mayhem that little shit was getting into. Speaking of which, Sun spotted the dragon doing exactly what Sun told him not to do.

”This little shit.” The fire monkey growled as he jumped from furniture piece to furniture piece before dropping down behind the dragon. ”You want someone to make you stop huh?” Sun cracked his knuckles as he stared down at Nero, killer intent in his eyes.

Sun absolutely hate the hell out of people who bullied those weaker than them. Not because of some self-righteous sense of justice or anything but because typically those who acted that way were weak shits themselves and couldn’t really back up their shit-talking and he hated hypocrites.

”It’s fun to kick around weaker shits than you huh? That sorta shit fun to you?” In between sentences huffs of flames would leave his mouth in anger. ”And didn’t I tell you not do anything stupid that’ll get us in trouble?! You think our trainers won’t give us shit for the stunts you’re pulling huh?! HUH?! If you cause trouble then I’ll get in trouble and I ain’t getting in trouble because you’re an asshole. So I’m going to give you one chance to change my mind on kicking your ass and shoving you in a corner.” Sun wasn’t bluffing. He doubted he’d get into that much trouble beating some sense into this overgrown lizard seeing as there was proof of his asshole behavior.

Dragon boot camp [Mission]

Adam was always more than happy to help out Freya and the Morning Star Estate. He had worked with them in the past before and they helped quite a bit in his own personal training so any call for help would be answered.

And besides it was a job to train Pokémon, there was no way he wasn’t going to enjoy this. This was the type of work he was most interested in when it came to League duties so payment wasn’t really a huge interest to him but it was most certainly nice cause damn do Morningstars pay well.

The silver-haired male was familiar with the Estate so it was a casual walk to the manor grounds. Despite how many times he came here the place never ceased to be impressive, well mostly, it could be considered a bit much for Adam’s taste.

His background was that a farm boy so he wasn’t really the type to care for all this flash and grandeur. Siren flew above, the dragon excited to see the estate again having been the main Pokémon in training with Adam when he arrived here so long ago. Adam smiled at the sight of the Pokémon.

And he knew just who to bring along on this mission with him. The dragon princess of Blackthorn herself got dragged into this by Adam. It’d be fun and a good way for her to flex that dragon knowledge of hers and besides the job sorta required that someone else be with him and there wasn’t any question on who to bring.

Well, he could have asked the other Blackthorn dragon royalty but Adam was pretty certain the guy was busy with something. Battling gyms maybe? Wrestling a dragon with his bare hands? Ah who knows what the guy was up to, dude was a busy man.

He waited for his partner to show up. Adam knew how to get here but he wasn’t sure if she did and the worry crossed his face. And given the last time, he ran into her…..oh god he hoped she’d make her way over here alright.

Despite giving her directions……really specific and clear directions, he hoped she didn’t end up getting lost. Nah he was just overacting she was going to be fine she can get a bit distracted at times but she wasn’t a total klutz with absolutely no sense of direction.

Meteor falls was as beautiful as Adam remembered it, maybe even more so. Back when Adam was a young lad and was gallivanting around to different regions to challenge their leagues, Hoenn had been one of those stops and his journey through the region eventually brought him here.

The beautiful waterfalls, the mysterious yet serene atmosphere, yeah he loved this place alright. And it was a nice breeding ground for some rare Pokémon, great for training and capturing. He hadn’t come here with any particular reason, mainly just to see the place and what was going on. The man lived nearby so it wasn’t that big of a deal.

At his side walked Siren, his Noivern, who happily followed along with her trainer. ”Brings back memories doesn’t it?” He’d ask the dragon, getting a happy nod in response. While he had some fond peaceful memories there were also plenty of hectic ones as well.

He could remember getting into a battle with multiple trainers at once and how crazy that had gotten. It was fun as hell time though and he managed to get out of that battle the victor. The thought made him laugh, he hadn’t really grown out of doing crazy shit like that.

Eventually, the two had taken to the air with the goal of reaching some of the higher points of the fall, skipping all that climbing and shit. As they ascended Adam noticed they weren’t alone…..but they soon might be given that the other person dipped off the cliff.

Without any words needing to be said Siren flew to help this person, Adam catching the falling civilian before they’d end up a pretty stain on the floor. ”Ya know I don’t remember there being any indication of raining people in today’s forecast!” He’d laugh staring down at the person he’d just catch.

”Wait a second!” He knew this person. ”Noelle?! What the hell?! What are you doing here?! And don’t you know that walking off of cliffs is bad for your health?!” He’d throw a million questions at her as Siren took them back onto dry land, the stretch that the dragon princess had been walking before her dip.

Adam would put her down back on her feet before wagging a finger at her. ”You know you need to be more careful! You won’t always have a dashing knight like me to save you!” He jokingly scolded her.

Adam had unfortunately and much to the protest of the individual involved left his most wonderful and splendid Monferno at a daycare to watch over some little shit of a dragon to make sure the damn thing didn’t blow the place up or something.

To say the least, Sun was not very pleased with this development at all. The Pokémon was much too old for this shit but he was promised some tasty treats if he stayed and did his job so he was okay with it….for now. He’d much rather be out there training with that holier than thou Lucario.

The Monferno side-eyed the Deino he was charged with making sure didn’t terrorize the place. ”Alright listen here you little dynamo of terror.” Sun pointed a finger at the Deino, already sort of done with this.

”Don’t do anything stupid that’ll get us in trouble alright? The smoother things go the better it’ll be for the both of us ya hear!” The monkey then made his way and climbed up on top of some furniture, fully intending on taking a nap. ”Aight now have fun with the other babies here or whatever, don’t bother me I’m taking a nap.” What a nice guy.

There were many things in this lifetime that Adam didn’t expect to ever see or want to and a Venusaur in skin tight fishnets and ninja attire was definitely one of them. He was completely distracted at the sight of it, his face a mix of confusion and disgust, almost completely missing what Bailey had said to him.

”Those names are a mouthful.” He managed to get out as he snapped out of trance that he had been in from witnessing what was borderline a crime against humanity. Shaking his head to get the thoughts out of his mind, Adam focused on what Bailey said next.

”Oh we’ll put on one hell of a show don’t you worry.” Kanē let out an agreeing roar, the dragon was more than ready to get into the ring and show his stuff. ”Go give em’ hell!” The man and dragon gave each other a fist bump…or a fist to fin…claw…the thing before the Garchomp charged toward the ring.

Of course, he wouldn’t enter like a normal person would, no. Instead, the Garchomp decided to show off and lunged high into the air, flipping, and landing on top of one of the corner posts. He was lucky that nothing was damaged or destroyed in the process.

King Kaiju threw his arms up and let out a roar. Adam was sure all of this attention was going straight to the Garchomp’s head and hoped he’d get off that post because it looked like any second now it was going to crumble under all the weight.

Thankfully the dragon did and he continued to play his role, point toward the two Pokémon the other side and then sliding one of his claws along his throat before pointing it down, taunting them.

The lovely sound of a pokeball clicking signified the successful capture of the Monferno. ”Sick!” Adam picked up the once empty capsule, giving his Lucario a fist bump as the Pokémon walked by.

”Good job, Soul. And helloooooo and welcome to the team.” He’d say the last part as he stared down at the capsule in his hand before putting it away. At a later time he’d get more acquainted with their party member, for now his focus would go back to the two ladies he was previously discussing with. Both brows raised in response to some rather exciting news.

”Oh? Really?! That's awesome! Congratulations! seriously great news! I'm happy for you!” He smiled in response to Freya’s news. There had been much of a change in her from the last time they had spoken it seemed, which he honestly couldn’t tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing, the jury would be out on that.

”I’m assuming you’re all out here for some training? Maybe to capture even more additions to your party?” As he said that he noticed some new pokemon appearing. None of them pique his interest nor did they appear to be aggressive so Adam would ignore them for now.

And seeing that his Lucario partner was pretty calm and collected furthermore told Adam that they weren’t much of a threat or something to be concerned about. Besides if they tried anything Soul would be able to easily handle them nothing around here seemed to match the Lucario in terms of skill and strength.
