She walks, and finds a Chansey on the side of the road. It seemed to be having a pleasant nap - one that she wasn't fond of interrupting. [break][break]

Although seeing it sleep, so peacefully, brought a small smile to the otherwise slightly frigid woman's face. The serene expression reminds her of the old days (the better days); days long gone and days she didn't think she would be getting back. It was a bittersweet thought but, nevertheless, she bites her lower lip and walks past the pink pokemon. She was quick to pass by, but stops in her tracks for a moment to backtrack. Her feet take her to the large, sleeping egg pokemon, before she places an oval stone by it. [break][break]

She lowers her voice and quietly steps back. Though she already has her own blissey, she hopes it can find a nice trainer someday. [break][break]

And so she continues to walk.

When she was called for an emergency, she was quick to pick up. [break][break]

The call came from higher up, detailing a fire on route 103. There was no major damage done - not yet, that is. From what she could see, there was a crowd gathered along the sides of the trees and grass surrounding the affected area. People, screaming as they ran out from the flames and pokemon quickly fleeing their nest. What could have caused something like this? Her heart broke as she witnessed the events; people and pokemon were running for their lives, while other rangers and officers who were in the area immediately came over to assist in containing it. [break][break]

Daphne, being one of them. She tried to walk closer to the fire, nudging past the crowd who seemed to witness the spectacle; some, crying as their pokemon were still caught in the flames the rubbles, while others were only able to come out (barely unharmed) or those immediately carried over to the ambulance. The entire situation was a mess. [break][break]

She keeps some distance from herself and the fire - enough to not be affected, too much, by the smog and fumes it let out - to bring out her Seadra. "Hydropump." she says, only louod enough to hear over the crackling of trees and the screams of the people and pokemon. The seadra assists with the other water type pokemon to put out the fire, but she still feared that there might be people or pokemon in there. In her train of thought, however, the fire flares up by her location, prompting her to tap her Seadra's back softly. "Keep it up" she sighs, but she knows it isn't enough. [break][break]

And so she turns a bit, raising her voice in hopes to be heard. "Can anyone help me, please?" she calls out. Her hands cup to the side of her lips, attempting to louden her voice. "Anyone?!"

No, no, no. [break][break]

Why did she agree with this? This was a terrible idea, wasn't it? None of this suit her; not her outfit, not her circumstances, - everything about this was so, so very out of character for her, - and most certainly not the scenario. Her fingers gently pinch and tug at her snug, aquamarine mermaid dress; the v-neck stretched far too low for her liking, but she was allowed something of a white, off the shoulder fur "coat" (she calls it a coat, solely because the name of the actual piece slipped her mind) held together on her chest with a golden button. Her carefully painted nails brushed against her blonde hair, more to stay out of the way of simple, dark blue stud earrings. She wasn't sure if she was doing this right. [break][break]

"Excuse me?" She starts, waving her hand towards the server at the reception. "I believe I have a reservation?" under the name stone. She's led over to an open table, which was already set up for a dinner for two. This wasn't right, was it? This was far, far from what she'd do. She had a horrible sense for fancy clothing and fashion in the first place; the one who helped her pick out the clothing was a maid. A maid who had a bit too much fun, braiding the young woman's hair and tying it into her usual bun, but a maid who was undeniably skilled in fashion. Granted, it took a while for them to.. Actually agree on something. Specifically, the dress and additional accessories. [break][break]

She takes a deep breath while sitting herself down. A waiter comes up to her, and she promptly orders a glass of water. Maybe something cool would be able to clear her mind? [break][break]

Her hands fiddle with each other in her lap, before she ultimately clutches her petite purse in anticipation. Ah, that's right. She agreed to this date, because her mother was searching for a suitor. Something about her getting older, and how she'd never find love with the way she shut herself in; but this was too grand, wasn't it? Furthermore, she just felt like she was dull in the face of such glamour.. [break][break]

Gods.. She just hoped that she wouldn't be a disappointment, nor a waste of time.

Sometimes it was better to sit down, relax, and get back to her roots. [break][break]

Which is why she returned to drop a visit in littleroot town. She needed some sort of down time, especially with how busy she's gotten nowadays. She couldn't go a day or two, at most, without some sort of problem that she needed to sort out in the company. Was this how alexander handled his business all the time? She never recalled him being so packed and busy all the time. Granted, she always made the mistake of underestimating him, solely because she.. still liked to think of him as her baby brother. [break][break]

Needless thoughts, she told herself. Needless for now. Worrying and fretting won't bring them back, and she knew that much. She just wished that she knew what they were up to, so that she wouldn't have to feel so lonely. Her Pachirisu seemed aware of her trainer's distress, and thus began to hop around her shoulders to gently coil her tail around Daphne's neck, like a fluffy, blue and white scarf.

daughter and current ceo of devon corp, she grew up with a wealthy upbringing. however, she remained modest and professional, in spite of the lack of faith in her as a heiress. she learned to keep quiet the majority of her life and, unfortunately, that has impeded her social skills.after her brother became the heir, she was able to do as she wished and thus pursued a medical degree. she was primarily a diligent worker and researcher for her family's company, but she spent many years in medical school and successfully graduated to being a doctor. she runs her own little clinic to the side. she was pushed into the position of ceo after her siblings went missing, and her father passed from a rocket attack. she is unconfident in her abilities and capabilities when it comes to the corporation, especially seeing that she has little experience with execution - despite having studied and being familiarized with the business. she's scared, lost, and worried. she misses her siblings and she's overly protective of her mother - the only family she has left around. she is quiet and generally unexpressive. not only is she a horrible liar, but she's also fairly susceptible to guilt. unlike her rash sister and her idealistic brother, daphne is self conscious and unconfident in her actions. she frequently questions her path, as she did when deciding to go to school in medicine, and often times second guesses herself. she is quite trusting of the people around her, which can and will make her come off as gullible. an important thing to note, however, is that she is keen and intuitive. though she isn't strong in expressing herself, she shows her disdain through subtle actions and means. being raised around business - and being the original heiress in mind - she, too, was trained by her parents to be the best of the best for devon corp. before her brother took over. bottom line; she has a kind and open heart that needs a bit of defrosting. over the years, she has been terrified of rejection and failure hence turned into a people pleaser to counter it. her min has always been to helping the people around her and - though she doesn't show it, nor would it be expected from her - she shows strong resolve to protect the ones she cares for. to some degree, some would call her motherly, while also finding her display of attempted composure sad.
