Why was it so damn bright out, well he knew WHY but still why? He's been spending months in the labs but the man was now in need of some new experiments. New tools to power up his machines... or well that probably wouldn't help for awhile considering he blew up a few little machines the other say with his latest experiment nothing new. Said experiment now in front of him looking at it's new surroundings as it has never seen it before. [break][break]

As normal he made sure to ask for a grunt to help him out as neither he or his pokemon were battlers. Or well maybe, he ponders as he stares at the Porygon 2, could this thing fight? He did up the power for a reason. He ponders for a moment as he hears the footsteps of another approaching, "Well its about time..." Wright only stops when he sees the man, "You're no grunt," is his simple comment slightly confused why one of the underbosses would come to visit him for grunt work of catching experiments. Though he smiles wide all the same knowing full well who the man that graced his presence was, "Who would have thought big man like you would volunteer their time to help me catch a few pokemon," he chuckles before a pause. [break][break]

"Wait this isn't about the explosion in the lab is it?" its not like that was new when he worked on something experimental, though it wasn't like he had reported... yet at least, he would've... eventually.

At his side, Gavin's Metagross hovers. Under the effects of MAGNET RISE, the steel-type looks alien.

Wright would turn to see Gavin's brow lift, as if to challenge the unfriendly greeting, but a smirk softens his severity. "No, I'm afraid not. Morning, doctor."[break][break]

He gestures Wright toward the entrance of the underground complex, his Metagross taking the lead as he falls in step with the scientist. Their footsteps echo on metal stairs, the air filled with the hum of generators.[break][break]

"This just so happens to be a favourite haunt of mine, and I was in the area." He kept up with communications in Rocket out of both obligation and curiosity. "What's this about an explosion in the labs, now?"[break][break]

He wasn't letting that comment slide.

"Morning Merlino, always a pleasant time to see the higher ups rather than your basic Deedee," he chuckles as he follows the other. Whether or not the other scientist knew of his calling all assistants he was given 'Deedee' he wasn't sure, but if the man has ever been in the labs while he was his fellow man of science should have known. He examines the area around him as Gavin says this is a favorite hunting ground of his as Wright running his hand along the metal as they descended before putting his finger in his mouth as if this was his way of examining it. His smile looks as if that lick told him all he needed, "I can see why!" [break][break]

"Explosion? Baaah who cares about that detail have I got a thing to show you!" Wright dodges the questions as he flips out his phone, playing a video. On his phone showing the labs but it seemed as if the computer was downloading a Porygon 2 from it's memory alone. "This is the future, imagine rather than having to come to these places and find random pokemon search and searching for hours on end only to find you can't find what you're looking for." There seems to be the start of an explosion but the Doctor makes sure to end the feed before it plays as he turns the man to the Porygon 2 that was with him. [break][break]

"Meet JELLIE! I created it's specs all from code from the bottom up, and through some fun science-wience stuff gave it a physical body," he was going to tear up at his brilliance. "Made sure to create it's evolution too, ya know to show that this ain't any old normal one. It may be a bit of time before I can make something else but I'm hoping to make simple catching a thing of the past." [break][break]

Despite his showing off it was near impossible to not hear the large metal monster that was close by. Wright looking at it with delight before to his boss again, "Do you mind? There is a reason I have grunts come with me"

Gavin cringes as he watches the scientist stick his finger in his mouth. "That is... incredibly unsanitary."[break][break]

He will not be distracted from the mention of an explosion, though he does shelve it for a moment in favour of listening to Wright's ramblings. His eyes trace the screen with a critical gaze that flicks up to meet the scientist's when he cuts the feed.[break][break]

"I have a Porygon of my own, though not one so advanced." He hadn't created it himself. He's sure he could figure out how to do such a thing, should the mood strike him. He's always busy with something else. "JELLIE. Does it stand for something?"[break][break]

There's a belated realization that the scientist doesn't know how to battle. Gavin holds back a sigh. Were Rocket not training their scientists to be at all useful outside of the labs?[break][break]

Another capsule is retrieved from his hip, revealing a werewolf with dark blue fur and a murderous red glare. Its snarling breaths can be heard over even the hum of generators and the scrape of Steelix's movements along the floor. With a series of silent gestures to both his Metagross and the Lycanroc, his Pokemon spring into action.[break][break]

Lycanroc has NO GUARD, no regard for its own safety as flames lick around its paws. It launches itself toward Steelix and assaults the titan with a series of FIERY PUNCHES. Metagross handles the Magnemite with a STOMPING TANTRUM, crushing the smaller dual-type beneath its iron legs.[break][break]

"I haven't forgotten about the explosion," he adds, as he pulls a pokeball from his belt and taps the short-circuiting Magnemite.

"Of course you don't this is the point of the JELLIE project, you're a man of science surely you've noticed that no two pokemon are the same. I can go outside right now catch 100 different Pidgies and the odds of them being the same are limited. Not to mention not all of them are created equal some are big and strong, others are smaller yet fast. To fix these features breeders keep on breeding and breeding to create the perfect conditions but lets end that," he gestures to his creation, "I've tested Jellie and physically speaking they're tip top shape, I promise you you'll find no better. Combinde pokemon like them with some of our better trainers and the power at your fingers could be better." [break][break]

He finished his pitch now all he could do is hope the underboss responded well to it. Though as soon as his serious attitude was there it left as he was questioned on the name giving a simple laugh, "HA! Of course not, I was just having jelly toast when I started this is all."[break][break]

The doc then watched the other man at work to see the Lycanroc battle, waiting for the best oppurtunity when the Steelix was damaged and off guard before he threw a pokeball. A pokemon of this power would prove to be a solid base. He sighs when called out about the explosion, "Darn that usually works, but of course you would be different. Well in the middle of making Jellie we needed a little extra power to get it complete ended over heating a few things and KAPLOW!" he opens his arms in an exploding gesture as if to copy it, "No one was hurt thankfully and better yet no information has been lost."

Wright jabbers on and Gavin does his best to keep up with the excitable scientist. He's clearly excited about his invention, but Gavin does not allow himself to get swept up in the other's energy.[break][break]

"What of its weaknesses?" Gavin asks. "Porygon is a normal-type, correct?"[break][break]

He's disappointed to learn that 'JELLIE' stood for nothing at all.[break][break]

Retrieving the Magnemite's pokeball and pocketing it, Gavin wordlessly directs his Pokemon to deal with the next duo to encroach upon the scientists. Lycanroc dispatches the Lairon with ease: it's prowess in CLOSE COMBAT shines. Metagross has more trouble with the Heliolisk. Its paralyzing glare slows the movements of the psychic type, allowing it to fire off a thunderbolt that manifests in a blinding flash.

Gavin flinches, arm jerking up to shield his eyes. When he lowers it, Metagross has poisoned the Heliolisk with TOXIC, leading to its inevitable demise.[break][break]

As he throws a ball toward the unconscious lizard, Gavin addresses Wright. "What of the labs themselves? Have we sustained any significant damage?" He glances over his shoulder to fix the scientist with a piercing stare. "If there was, did you report it?"

"Unless you want an unstable mutated mess sadly I still can't build them without their natural properties, believe me I've tried," heck even when making Jellie there had been a few mutations until he got it right. He kicked the unconscious pokemon lightly to hear the way it sounds before he ran his hand over the steel all to test it's quality. Wright even went as far as to put his ear against the pokemon while rubbing the steel, seemed unconventional but the doctor had a method to his madness. His final examination? Useless. So with that he put his pokeball away as the other asked him about the lab's condition. [break][break]

"There was collateral damage but most of which is cosmetic nothing that would slow anything in the labs down. The only machines destroyed were one or two that I personally built for the project to which I've already sent one of my pokemon on a job to get both cash and metals to rebuild them if need, as for the report it has been written up, I just haven't had the chance to turn that in yet as the damage has only been to my machines and past experiences has informed me they doesn't have high priority," Wright explains thoroughly not particularly intimidated by the other's piercing stare. He's been in this game for awhile and the doctor knows the drills. He's also dealt with under bosses crazier than this guy so it would take more to shake him up.[break][break]
