As Samuel was still drawing blanks his Pokémon was doing the actual work and had picked up the scent of something nearby.

”Hmm?” When the Mightyena barked that was when Samuel took his head out of the clouds and came back to earth, looking to see what had caused his canine to get defensive.

”Oh there’s no need to worry, it’s just a Castform.” And that just a Castform was actually a shiny one.

”Well aren’t you a pretty one!” He said with a whistle. The Castform smiled at the two before energy began to gather around its mouth and the two moved out of the way, narrowly escaping a Hydro Pump.

”Jeez! Damn thing almost killed us. But if that’s how it wants to play then use Crunch!” Samuel’s Mightyena was more than happy to oblige, lunging at the little Pokémon and biting down on it. Shen then shook her head violently before flinging the Castform towards a tree.

The little guy was tougher than it looked and struck back with a Headbutt but that just made it close enough for Mightyena to retaliate with a Play Rough. With the Castform now had been properly got its ass beat Samuel went to capture it.

Capture Attempt

Dealing with the Castform was much more stressful than it had any right to be. This was why Samuel was thankful the next Pokémon he ran into was just a Spinarak.

”Oh hello there Mr. Spinarak! Don’t mind us just walking through.” He still had to be careful, many Pokémon could easily fire off a random death beam just because.

So he had his Mighytena were cautious to just step away from the spider and its web and keep on moving.

Then next Pokémon he ran into was a Morpeko in its hangry form which normally meant one was about to get attacked but Samuel was quick on the draw to take out some snacks that while were originally intended for his Mightyena they would probably satisfy the Morpeko as well.

”Hey you really like these huh?” Samuel gave the little hamster more and more before trying to move onto the next Pokémon but the little guy kept following him.

So Samuel decided that it wouldn’t be that bad of an idea to capture the little guy and with the promise of more treats the Morpeko sounded like it wanted to come along.

”Hmm?”

Gula had started barking at him, her attention focused on her back. Samuel looked, spotting an Anorith attached to his back.

”Gula would you mind getting this little guy off of me, please?” The Mightyena was more than happy to use Crunch on the Pokémon, flinging it off her trainer and onto the ground. The Pokémon continued her assault with Play Rough which seemed bit excessive to Samuel.

”Okay, okay! I think you beat it up enough.” He sighed, throwing a safari ball at the Anorith. it wanted to come along.

The last time he was in the safari he hadn’t run into this many cute Pokémon and he wasn’t complaining about it, he liked it actually. And what brought about this thought?

The next Pokémon he ran into was a little Shinx.

And much like with the Morpeko, Samuel decided to bait the Pokémon with some tasty treats.

”You are the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.” He had lifted the Pokémon up in the air as he fawned over it. Samuel continued to coax the Shinx with treats before he then tried to capture it.
