The Poochyena's eyes went to an equally small Pokemon. A Shinx peered its head out of the vegetation, staring curiously at the pair as they passed by. Kyle would have ignored it, though he couldn't say the same with his Pokemon. They were naturally curious after all, especially since Kyle often just kept them at home to play among themselves.

"No."

It was a stern and commanding, but short and simple enough for his Pokemon to understand. It wasn't like he couldn't see himself riding a full grown Luxray into battle, but more so that he did not need any more Pokemon than what he has at the moment. Besides, he couldn't think of replacing one of his Poochies in exchange of a Shinx for his current roster anyways.

A more menacing Pokemon had stumbled upon their path as soon as they ditched the Shinx behind. It was imposing, with a frame that threatened the Poochyena when it came to physical prowess. While Kyle was confident that at least one of his Poochyenas could probably take it on given an opportunity, he'd rather not take the risk of having them injured by a random encounter. They could use some training, sure, but this wasn't the time to do so.

"Bravo, Yawn."

Rather than going around it, he supposed the faster way to get across it was to put it to sleep. With the move putting the Pokemon to drowsiness, it would only take a few moments for the Electabuzz to move forward to attack the Poochyena, only to find itself stumbling from the effects of the move. Soft snoring could be heard from the Electric-type soon afterwards, which paved the way for Kyle to bypass fighting it directly.

"Let's get back to work."

Although he had already seen the Electabuzz drop on the ground with his own eyes, the crackling of static electricity still resounded in his ears. Distinct and definitely active, Kyle did not need to turn around to know that another Electric-type was in around. The low growl from Bravo had suggested it further, and the menacing response of a snarl when the Poochyena had started barking at the sound proved it.

Turning around, the sight of a larger canine imposed itself on both the Poochyena and the trainer. The eyes of a predator glared at Kyle's own pair, before they locked itself at the small creature trying to separate its beloved trainer with the wild Pokemon. It was but a coincidence that the Poochyena got assigned with its name, but seeing the Dark-type in action made him realize that it fit the small bundle of courage.

It wasn't like they could easily escape it either, since it was much faster than the Electabuzz and leaving their backs exposed could only mean trouble when he only had something as small as Bravo to defend himself with. Not like he'd ditch it either if he had a choice, readying a Pokeball at hand as he ordered the first move to his Pokemon.

"We're fighting. Open up with a Sand Attack."

The wild Pokemon's reaction to Kyle speaking was consider it an act of aggression, which she wasn't completely wrong. Its legs threw itself at the pair, but not before the Poochyena's paw flicked a handful of dirt from the ground at the charging Manectric. It went straight ahead, though the stagger it made upon getting its senses blocked bought enough time for both Kyle and his Pokemon to narrowly dodge the attack.

Crashing itself on a tree, Kyle went with a quick "Crunch!" as an order to his Dark-type. Lunging at the incapacitated Pokemon, Bravo launched himself on the Manectric's back, his fangs sinking deep on the wild Pokemon's scruff as the opposing Electric-type yowled in pain.

Kyle chucked a Pokeball at it before it could retaliate, however.
